Mages and Mortals

Mortals -

Mortals are exactly that. They are humans with no supernatural abilities (although there are mortal abilities that seem supernatural). Most aren't even aware that supernatural creatures exist.

Ghouls -

Ghouls are mortals who have drunk Kindred blood. This..alters..them. It gives them access to some Kindred disciplines and an extended lifespan (assuming they have continued access to Kindred blood). Ghouls often act as servants to vampires in return for the blood they crave.

Mages -

A Mage is a mortal who has Awakened to the fact that Reality is not as rigid as everyone else believes. They are, therefore, able to alter reality through force of will. However, the method by which the Mage alters reality is what truly defines what he is. There are Mages who alter Reality by evoking ancient spirits and deities, those who call upon God or the very force of Creation itself, those who alter perceptions of Reality to change Reality around them, those who dabble in arcane lore and mysticism, and the dreaded "techno-wizards" who use advanced technology.

However, as powerful as a Mage may sound, what many people forget is that Reality does not like to be toyed with by mere mortals. There are consequences for attempting to change the very fabric of Reality, consequences which may cost you your very life.........(for those in the know.....PARADOX!)
