The Kiasyd are more of a bloodline than an actual clan. They have this in common with both the Salubri and Samedi bloodlines. Rumor has it that the bloodline was created by the Lasombra, who infused one of their own blood with that of the Fae and Mages while attempting to explore their Obtenebration discipline. The Kiasyd are very distinctive in appearance. They grow from one to two feet upon Embrace and gain translucent, bluish skin, pointed ears, rounded, completely black eyes and thin, angular features. They usually have to be isolated during their transition (usually lasting two days), since the drastic changes drive most into a constant state of frenzy due to the pain.

For the horrors of their embrace, however, the Kiasyd have access to some very unusual disciplines. They have the Lasombra's Obtenebration, the Faerie's Mytherceria, and the Giovanni's Necromancy. They are among the most polite of Kindred society, but also the most emotional. It's never wise to upset or insult a Kiasyd, but you'll most likely never know that that was the cause of all your troubles. >:-) Because they are so careful about infringing upon another being's sensibilities, you will never find more than one Kiasyd in a city (unless it's Sire and Chylde). They do gather frequently however, being fairly social creatures.
