Angel
bio provided by her player, Alex Denson.

Angel is a Lamia. Yes, a Lamia. No, you've probably never heard of them (unless you were alive and kicking before the Dark Ages). She recently arrived in Denver looking for some Nosferatu (actually, they were supposed to find her, but didn't).

Angel is an anachronism. That is, she went into torpor back during the beginning of the Spanish Inquisition and only recently woke up. This modern age is all quite new to her. She, fortunately, has had a little help from her Nosferatu caretaker, who has been helping her understand the modern wonders and culture. Still, it's quite a shock!

As a mortal, Angel was the niece of a renowned vampire hunter. She watched her parents brutally slain by a vampire at the tender age of 4. Her uncle slew the vampire, but not in time to save her parents. Her uncle, as her only living relative, took her in. He never wanted her involved in his work, but she was stubborn (like her mother) and insisted, so he allowed her to do the research necessary to keeping him alive.

As she grew older, Angel became more determined to hunt down the fiend who ordered the dead vampire to torture and kill her parents. She began reading her uncle's journals in secret, and taught herself many of his favorite tricks. Finally, she went to slay a "child" vampire, figuring it would be an easy first kill. That mistake almost cost her life! When her uncle found out, he finally relented and began to train her in the ways of hunting vampires. Together, they built quite a formidable reputation.

After her uncle "retired" at the ripe old age of 40, Angel took over the family "business" on her own. She was well trained and started garnering a reputation as a fierce hunter herself. She finally tracked down the vampire who had ordered her parents' death, a Tzimesce who had actually been looking for information about her uncle. Off Angel went to avenger her parents' deaths.

Unfortunatly, the Tzimisce had a bodyguard, a Lamia. The Lamia were known to be fierce and loyal fighters (though of a more scholarly bent, like the True Brujah), and Angel lost. Badly. Her life was forfeit to the Tzimisce, but the Fiend was stopped from killing her by his own bodyguard. The bodyguard saw the potential in Angel, and begged the boon to Embrace her of his Master. Reluctantly, the Tzimisce agreed and the Lamia Embraced Angel.

Angel was far from grateful, however. She had now become that which she most despised, a vampire. Until then, her entire existance had been based on eradicating the vampire nation, which she now belonged to. Angel spent years debating with herself. Should she just kill herself, or go on, despite what she had become? Throughout her internal struggle, her Sire tried to reach her. He argued that not all vampires were evil (much like human beings), and that she could now kill even more effectively than before. Finally, Angel realized that her Sire was right. She quit her self-induced melancholy, and started to learn what is was to be Kindred.

Alas, that was when the Spanish Inquisition came to the fore. With it rose the threat to all Kindred, and they were forced underground. With very little training or experience at being Kindred, Angel was forced to consider the very real threat the Inquisition now posed to her. Her Sire suggested a voluntary torpor, to be watched over by a Nosferatu who owed him a Life Boon. So, they slept, to be woken when the world was sane again.

Present day. Angel was woken by her Caretaker, only to be told her Sire was dead. Rumor had it the old Tzimisce master was paranoid, and had become convinced his former bodyguard had Embraced a hunter for the sole purpose of slaying the Fiend. It had taken centuries, but the Fiend had tracked down her Sire's resting place and had him slain. Her Caretaker could no longer guarantee Angel's safety. So, the went to France (during which time he gave her a basic understanding of this world she had woken to). There, he shipped her off to Denver, to meet with kin of his, who would help her hide from the Tzimisce and adjust to the new age.

Upon arriving in Denver, however, Angel found no trace of the Nosferatu she was to meet. She did manage to find other Kindred, and followed them to the Camarilla gathering. Now, she struggles to adjust to the modern world, all the while wondering how long it will be until her Sire's former Master hunts her down.

Ares Giovanni
Non-Player Character

Ares is a Giovanni (obviously), and is played by Edward "Skip" Ritter. He is also managing the club Dark Secrets, which is the gathering place of the local Kindred. Ares is known to have a violent streak and is not nearly as forgiving as his Great-Uncle Guido (played by God Rion Bergquist).

Bambi, the Vampire Slayer
Non-Player Character

Bambi is, well, you know what she is. She's a bright, perky teenager (up on ALL the latest fashions, of course) played by Alex Denson. So far, Bambi has nearly killed two characters. Somebody get rid of this annoying insect quick!

Christoff

Christoff first appeared at the February gathering and immediately made friends (mostly Tremere). He is played by Dan Finerty.

Elverick Sunsender
bio provided courtesy of his player, Joshua Laff

Elverick Sunsender (played by Joshua Laff) had been living near Nederland when he Awakened to his Mage ability. After a short while, he started to sense general strangeness coming from the Boulder area. Deciding to see what he'd find, he started down towards Boulder. That's when he noticed Joseph Stonecraft's invitation calling for all Mundanely Challenged creatures in the area. Showing up early for the meeting, they quickly arranged an apprenticeship for Elverick to study under Joseph.

Fred Dawson
bio courtesy of his player, Tim Orel

Fred was sent to the city with a particular mission, and when it became advisable for him to become embraced, that was carried out, in order to further his mission. What that mission is has never been divulged, but each prince has been given what is appropriate, given their position. Fred has a great deal of information, but you will need to give much to learn what answers you seek. Fred will discover your information in time.

Fred also has his own web page.

Geoff Giovanni

Geoff is another Giovanni (noticing a trend yet?). He is played by Jeff "Pedro" Friend. According to Mr. Giovanni, "You don't get to know anything about me. Knowledge is power, and I would rather be the one with the power. Tell me about yourself..."

Grace Sylvar, Ph.D.
bio courtesy of his player, Lance Smith

Not much is known about Grace Sylvar (or the "professor" as he is affectionately referred to among his friends) within the rumor mill of the Camarilla, but the enigmatic scholar-turned-Prince (Jan 2 game) has indeed taken a fascid interest in the city of Denver. When he first appeared within the city, he reportedly conducted a large number of "interviews" with various supernaturals, fastidiously transcripting the content of those discussions onto the pages of an ageless leather-bound volume which Grace has seldom been seen without. Rumors concerning the nature of this book abound, it's uncanny weight having supposedly halted many attempts to thieve it, while other stories tell of Grace wandering unharmed out of the smoldering rubble of a devastating NWO attack with his book underarm.

Often conversationally referring to his past in periods of "hundreds of years", many of the old Cainite's stories seem to involve either Greece or Rome, although his name would certainly indicate that he hails from neither. Having dutifully served the city's former Prince as both Sheriff and Keeper of Elysium, he ascended from among the city's other elders to Prince after Alexander Franks' untimely final death at the hands of the FBI.

Commonly discussed within the Camarilla are a set of alliances that have been formed since Grace's indoctrination as Prince at the beginning of this year. Supernatural organizations included in these alliances are the Garou, the Bastet, the Kindred of the East, as well as the Followers of Set. It is also well known that Grace has a large number of allies among the living and the spirits of the dead, although how deeply his spirit ties truly run is a mystery to all but a few...

Grace is usually seen wearing dark colored designer suits away from his fellow kindred, yet seems to favor less modern dress with a distinctly gothic flavor while attending scheduled gatherings.

Gregory

Gregory is another new Tremere in Denver. He has somehow managed to get himself appointed Keeper of Elysium, and has also claimed the titles of Tremere Primogen and Regent.

Guido Giovanni
Non-Player Character

Guido is an NPC played by God Rion Bergquist. He owns the nightclub Dark Secrets, often a favorite gathering place for Denver's Kindred. He fondly known as "Uncle Guido" to his relatives (including Ares and Sage).

Dr. Hans Gruben

Dr. Gruben is a Salubri. He's a nice guy who's handy to have around if you're injured. He's also staying with the Ferenczy clan. You'll notice he's always wearing a hat. Ever wonder why?

Jenner
bio provided courtesy of her player, Michelle Freeman. And check out Jenner's web page!

Jenner the Samedi is a very unusual creature to say the least. Jenner has a rather unique view on vampires. She doesn't consider vampirism to be a curse. Instead she views it as a kind of spiritual sabbatical; a step outside of the traditional death/rebirth cycle. She believes that vampirism gives the soul a chance to gain knowledge that it normally couldn't, should it remain mortal, and transform into a more enlightened being. She believes that everyone could complete this transformation if they only took time to do so.

Jenner has spent most of her unlife asleep in Germany, but she has risen to watch both world wars and observe their dead and dying. She has only recently relocated to the United States and spends most of her time in hospitals and graveyards. Both the Giovanni and Nosferatu clans of Denver have adopted her, much to her delight.

Although she does meet with the Camarilla and assists them in times of need, she doesn't consider herself to be a member of that sect or any other. She's even bent the Camarilla's laws on several occasions, which have resulted in some "accidents" with the Masquerade over the years. Among her more notable blunders are: being run over by a tank in W.W.I; giving three German officers a collective heart attack in W.W.II, after she got up and walked off a battlefield; and she had the embarrassing experience of having her "Ash form" sucked into a vacuum cleaner by a housewife (who subsequently suffered a nervous breakdown after the appliance started talking).

Joseph Stonecraft (he's the one in the middle)
bio provided by his player, Josh Corwin

Joseph is the son of Gregory Stonecraft (a Professor of mythology at Harvard University and a member in good standing of the Arcanum) and Mary Wollen Stonecraft (a housewife and a very powerful psychic). Due to his unique heritage, Joseph was born Awakened and never became a Sleeper, allowing him to become very intelligent at a very young age. At age 15, Joseph graduated from MIT with advanced degrees in Chemistry and Electrical Engineering. His early experiments grabbed the attention of many of the Technomancer groups, including Iteration X, the Virtual Adepts, the Progenitors, the Void Engineers, and (of course) the Sons of Ether. After some of Joseph’s achievements in synthetics and robotics, the Technocracy began to prepare to either have him join them or destroy him.

Joseph was approached by both Iteration X and Etherite recruiters and Joseph flatly turned all of them down.He had no interest in this “Ascension War” they spoke of. The Technocracy decided that drastic measures were required, because “if you’re not with us,then you must be against us”. The Technocracy invaded his laboratory and discovered one of his early attempts at Alchemy and realized that they could easily sabotage it, causing an explosion to kill Joseph. However, they did not count on Joseph’s.... unpredictability. Instead of sitting there wondering why his experiment failed and pouring over his notes when it did (like a proper scientist should), Joseph leapt up and started screaming and stomping about the room. He picked up the chunk of metal he had been experimenting with and was about to throw it across the room when it   exploded. The accident damaged most of the left side of Joseph’s body: his left hand was blown off (his arm was amputated from the elbow down), his left leg(which was damaged from shrapnel, paralyzing it), his left ear (a piece of shrapnel ripped off much of the outer portions and the sound of the explosion damaged most of the inner ear), and both of his eyes (60% loss of vision in his right eye and complete loss in his left eye).

The Technocracy hoped that the“accident” would scare Joseph away from further scientific exploration. However, just the opposite occurred. Joseph had a burst of inspiration, creating a way for him to replace the damaged parts of his body with chemically-engineered synthetics which mimic organic tissues (dubbed “synth-organics”). However, while Joseph possessed the intelligence to imagine such a concept, he lacked the necessary power to create it. While Joseph was in the hospital recovering from the explosion, he was approached by his Mentor-to-be, Doctor Thomas Malcolm, one of the original Electrodyne Engineers to abandon the Technocracy and found the Sons of Ether.

Doctor Malcolm, who was an old friend of Joseph’s father, had been keeping and eye on Joseph and was waiting for the right moment to approach him. Doctor Malcolm arranged to become Joseph’s physician while in the hospital and helped Joseph develop his“synth-organics” technology, using it to replace Joseph’s damaged arm, leg, ear, and eyes. Doctor Malcolm convinced Joseph to join the Sons of Ether and help fight the Technocracy. Joseph was willing to help in the struggle, but was VERY reluctant to do anything to harm another human being. That soon changed, however.

As one of the original defectors, Doctor Malcolm was high up on the Technocracy’s “hit list”. The Technocracy, having failed to eliminate Doctor Malcolm on several occasions, decided to take a new approach. They used Void Engineer technology (i.e. Correspondence and Spirit Magick) to make the cyborg “out-of-sync” with this plane of reality, thus making him virtually immune to Doctor Malcolm’s powers (who had no Spirit Magick and very little Correspondence Magick). This attack was successful and Doctor Malcolm was killed right in front of Joseph’s eyes. Joseph, who had encountered Spirits though his parent's work, was able to hold off the cyborg long enough for him to escape.

After Doctor Malcolm’s death, Joseph discovered that Doctor Malcolm left most of his worldly possessions to Joseph, including a Sanctum in Colorado, located just outside of Boulder. Joseph moved in and began making himself at home, and he discovered that what Doctor Malcolm had left him was so much more than a new home. Doctor Malcolm’s Sanctum was an enormous house, and it contained a vast library, an elaborate laboratory, anda multitude of other surprises, many of which Joseph has yet to discover. Joseph has been using the library to assist in the advancement of his knowledge and powers, but he does not yet feel prepared to begin directly attacking the Technocracy.

In the meantime, Joseph has been advancing his“synth-organics” technology, making more complex versions of his artificial replacements, as well as successfully creating two small creatures (named“Panic” and “Pain”). However, Joseph’s ultimate goal is to make a“living”human being using this technology. To that end, he has been studying the only examples of inorganic “living” beings he knows of.....vampires.

Unfortunately, Joseph has become entangled in the vampire's politics and other problems, making him a target from multiple angles. It appears that this cat’s curiosity will indeed be the death of him. Joseph has also become something of a “social worker” for the supernatural denizens of the area. He has taken a multitude of unusual beings into his home, giving them shelter, food, and whatever other help he can provide. Currently, Joseph has living with him a child-minded Ravnos vampire, an Orphan mage with amnesia, a Ceilican (were-cat) called “Pun’kin” who insists on staying close to the Orphan (don’t ask me, I didn’t come up with this stuff), a student Verbena who is now under Joseph’s tutelage (a Witch being instructed by a Technomancer.....how ridiculous is that?), a hedge wizard who appearsto be half-werewolf and half-troll (oi vey!), and he has recently taken in two Ghouls of clan Gangrel, both of which have shown some potential in becoming Mages.

Laughs With His Tongue In Her Butt
Non-Player Character

Laughs is a Garou. He has dealt with the Denver Kindred many times, attempting to forge an alliance between the Kindred and Garou. He has often been a strong ally of ours, especially when dealing with his kind. Laughs is played by God Marc Elliot.

Pandora

Pandora is a Tremere, however she is not as "clique-ish" as her clan tends to be. She was a good friend of Damiana Ferenczy, and is well liked in Denver. She is played by JacqueLynn Townsend.

Sage

Sage is something of an enigma. He is neither Kindred, Mortal, or Fae, but some combination of them (and maybe a few more things). Sage is about 6 years old and has a very unique sense of humor (he once made Damiana paisley!). Sage is played by demi-god Bryan Ryals).
