I know, I know.  Technically, the Caitiff aren't a clan.  However, where else was I going to put them?

The Caitiff are, by definition, the clanless. They are Kindred who, for one reason or another, have no clan that claims them (or that they are willing to claim). In Kindred society, this generally makes them, well, "outcast" status in the eyes of other Kindred. Many Kindred want nothing to do with the Clanless Ones. However, a wise Kindred sees the advantages present in the kind of freedom the Caitiff posess.

The advantage of being Caitiff is that they have access to all clan disciplines (except the Tremere's Thaumaturgy). Another advantage, at least in In Denver's Shadow, is that the Caitiff (or those claiming to be) are the largest "clan" in the city. Power to the people!
