The Story So Far....
April 10, 1998 - Premiere Game
We had about 30 players show up for our first game. Most of the clans were represented, including several unusual ones. Our Prince was Sir Marcus Dane, played by Bear Stanley. Of course, we started the evening trying to get organized. This included appointing Primogen (the leaders of each clan) to act as an advisory council to our Prince. Sir Marcus was also gracious enough to allow the many Caitiff (or, Clanless Ones) to appoint a representative of their own, so that they might be included in the information network.
That was when the evening got interesting. The group was attacked by a horde of mutant frogs, ranging in size from, well, frog-size to pony-size. The frogs were also able to spit acid and breathe fireballs. Many Kindred were injured in the fray, but we were able to overcome. (This message brought to you by your friendly neighborhood web mistress. Future installments will be covered by the vivacious, colorful, and always-entertaining Laciryl, "Mistress" of the Harpies.)
Game 2 - May 8, 1998
For those who care, that Prince-type person left the city to go help kill Sabbat. We as a city will need to begin accepting applications for the various open positions. We quasi-destroyed the Setite temple right after the auction....Oops! Our wonderful, gregarious, and all-around nice guy Harpy was kissed by an icky Samedi named Jenner. Gross!
And the party was raided by a group of individuals with no taste or color-coordination skill. Some of you refer to them as "MiB's".
We must also continue to resolve the existing problems that are listed below: Lastly, I complained last time about the overly large amount of Tremere in the city. Then at the auction, only one showed up. Has someone out there been busy?
This public announcement has been brought to you by the GCN (Giovanni Communications Network). News anchor is, of course, marvelous me, Laciryl the Harpy Guy! (OOC Flame Off!)
Technology is our friend...and for a small fee it could be yours too. In Game
Goals: The goal of this gathering is to initiate the
process by which the new prince of the city will be
chosen. And to see if anyone has information on the odd
happenings at previous gatherings, or any of the current
news topics. (Additional notes provided by your friendly
neighborhood WebMistress.) As it turns out, some Ventrue finally arrived in our fair city. Two
Candidates stepped forward to promote themselves as
possible Princes, Arthur W. Freeman and Walter Goldsmith. Due (in my humble opinion) to some heavy
campaigning by fellow Ventrue Hiram Winthorpe, Mr.
Freeman was voted Prince. Among his campaign promises, he
gave his word that Denver's large contingent of Caitiff would continue to enjoy the same rights as they
had under Sir Marcus Dane's rule. As Arthur Freeman was no
longer available, a new Prince needed to be elected. Padre
Ramirez pointed out that the
Prince should be Camarilla (thus eliminating the majority
of Denver's Kindred from consideration). Not having that
many to choose from, Malkavian detective Alexander Franks was elected Prince. Also, the gathering was attacked by a were-shark
who, well, kicked our asses. It would've destroyed us
all, but chose to leave after doing a lot of damage.
Game 8 - Friday, September
25, 1998 On Friday the 25th, everyone has been called to
Dark Secrets to plan strategies against the city's foes.
This particular meeting will also include a combat clinic
led by Guido Giovanni, Trang, The Akashic Master Mage,
Shadow, the Garou Sept's Master of the Challenge, and
Mystique, Sidhe Knight and Mistress of the local Fey
freehold. All supernaturals in the area are requested to
attend. Also to be discussed are: Side note: to those who didn't already
know, a LARGE force of Sabbat operate out of and own
Dante's. By order of the Prince no Camarilla members
shall go within 5 miles of Dante's. Game 9 - Friday, October 9,

29, 1999 Unrest
continues to sweep Denver as Sergei's forces continue to
hold the city in an iron grip. Many mortal influences are
negated and ineffectual. We assembled to hear Rasputin's
call for action against Sergei. After much scrambling, we
manage to loosen Sergei's hold on the Police. Finally, we
get word that a trainload of Femori (horrible posessed
human-types) are coming to the city! Quickly, we set some
high explosives, and attacked the traincars en masse. A
massive explosion ensued, killing all but three of the
Femori and (unfortunately) a few innocent bystanders. The
three remaining Femori were displatched, and another
threat was averted. Game 17 - Friday, February
26, 1999 We gathered at the Lab of Joseph Stonecraft, who
asked for help againt the Technocracy. The Camarilla
leaders refused his request, citing Masquerade concerns.
The assembled Garou were all for it, wanting a fight and
wanting it now. They would get their wish soon. After months of tedious work, we have
loosened Sergei's hold on the City enough to find where
his main hideout is. Led by Rasputin and Grace, we
descended on a large Denver Mansion to begin the bloody
slaughter of his minions (oh, the inhumanity! woe! woe!).
They finally destroyed the mansion in an attempt to take
the life of Rasputin and Grace, who both escaped
unharmed. After our return to the lab, we were
intruded upon by Sergei and three of his minions! He
challenged Rasputin to direct combat for command of
Denver. Rasputin accepted, and both became blurs of
furious motion. The titanic battle lasted mere minutes,
with Sergei finally gutting Rasputin like a fish and
spilling his powerful Elder blood. All seemed lost as
Sergei demanded the Kindred yield to his will. Somehow, Rasputin's defeat summoned
none other than the legendary Baba Yaga herself, who
turned Sergei into an apple and tucked him away. She
brushed off his remaining minions as if they were
mayflies, healed Rasputin, and took him away. Witnesses
report that Rasputin called her 'grandmother'! Game 18 - Friday, March 19,
1999 Prince Sylvar had called the
city together for a meeting at Owl's place. Several new
Kindred showed up (as usual), but the Prince was quite
tardy (not usual). One of the
more..."popular"...new Kindred was a young lady
by the name of Jessabelle. She seemed
to be quite a success, at least with the gentlemen.
Must've been that "heaving bosom" of hers. :-)
Another was a gentleman calling himself Christoff. By the time the Prince did show up,
Jessabelle and her "paramours" were already
causing a ruckus. I'm not entirely sure what happened,
but it seems that everyone started trying to get their
hands on Jessabelle and fighting for the chance to do so. Jessabelle was rescued from the mob by
a little oriental lady, only to meet up with the lady's
boyfriend! (Apparently, each was attracted to the other.
By the time everyone else got outside, the two were just
going at it right in the parking lot!) In an attempt to
seperate the pair, both Prince Sylvar and the little lady
disappeared along with the couple and weren't seen again
for the rest of the evening. So much for the Prince's
meeting!
(Completely OUT OF CHARACTER info):
It seems that there was a mass orgy
taking place in some parallel realm, with all four people
having a darn good time! Even our staid and reserved
Prince was getting into the spirit of things!!
Unfortunately, it didn't end until everyone was too
exhausted to do much else (except replenish their
depleted blood pools), so TECHNICALLY nobody has seen any
of the four since the meeting! Woo-hoo! Way to go Grace! Game 19 - Friday, May 21,
1999 The Camarilla had plans to
try to disrupt the concert (since it seems that those
type of concerts are "breeding" grounds for
Sabbat recruits), but those don't seem to have worked too
well. Just a hunch, but Manson himself is more than he
seems and appears to be working with the Sabbat.
Partially into the opening act (a lovely little
Christian-Rock band), all of the exits to Dante's
mysteriously disappered. Once the Christians were booed
off the stage, the real show started with Manson and his
band (led by an entourage carting the Christian band
members strung up on crucifixes). At a cue from Manson
himself, many members of the audience (apparently Sabbat
Kindred) started tearing through the crowd (both
literally and figuratively) Embracing mortals left and
right.
Both Joseph Stonecraft and
his apprentice, Elverick Sunsender, tried to damage Manson directly while a crowd
of Cam-friendly Kindred tried unsuccessfully to rush the
stage. Several Kindred, including the Prince himself, the Scourge and the always charming Jenner, jumped into
the fray (literally) when the Sabbat started attacking
the hapless concert-goers. Unfortunately, our heroes
seemed doomed when the masses of newly arisen Sabbat
(most still covered in dirt) streamed forth from the
basement.
However, not even the Sabbat were safe
from what appeared next.
Large (truck-sized) deformed pig-like
things appeared out of nowhere and started eating any and
all vampires. At that point, any and all wise beings
decided to vacate the building by any means necessary
(several created their own exits). At some point during
the commotion, a large explosion caused Dante's to cave
in upon itself, hopefully killing the pig-things.
Unfortunately, the media crew captured (and broadcast
live) a lot of footage of several serious breaches of the
Masquerade. (See In the News for
specifics.)
At the next gathering, everyone was
busily discussing the breaches and what to do about them.
Suddenly, Faethor Ferenczy (anyone remember him?) and ten of his
Conquistador buddies showed up. Faethor started arguing
with the Prince (with Lacyril trying to mediate), and
somehow it turned into a fight and shooting spree.
Presently, roll call has not been taken and casualties
have not yet been identified. Game 20 - Friday, June 18,
1999
Rumor had it that a church on Colfax was a Sabbat holding. In the attempt to destroy the Sabbat, the church suffered some "redecorating" thanks to Faethor Ferenczy. (Has anyone noticed how this guy keeps appearing, even though he's supposedly suffered Final Death?) Several priests were also injured/killed in the "redecorating".
The Prince and the Scourge were once again leading the battle, while the mages and the Tremere did their best to remove any mystical problems at the church. Once all the mystic barrers around the church were down, it was a fairly easy task for the strike force to enter and wreak havoc (their specialty).
Unfortunately, there was a large, cross-like thingy that sent out burning light. One of the bad guys was about to escape through a portal (to who-knows-where), when the portal was unexpectedly sealed. The bad guy was stuck, and the cross was activated. Every vampire in range of the light was instantly torpored. Fortunately, we had allies who were unaffected. We won the day (night, whatever), thanks to the efforts of our Mage and Garou allies.
Game 21 - Friday, July 16,1999 Game 22 - Friday, August 13,
1999 We (the Camarilla) were at a huge disadvantage in the fight. We
were approaching enemies on strange ground, and they were prepared for
us.
We witnessed two buildings and a gasoline tanker explode, were hit with
sniper fire from hidden places, and had to seperate real Sabbat from
mentally controlled mortal students.
There were four separate battles of note that took place during our
time in Boulder: Result: Sage reduced to a
blubbering idiot, Angelique dead. No technocracy casualities. Us: 0
Them: 1
Result: Several inconsequential Sabbat Casualties. Us: 1 Them: 1
Result: This denied it's power to the technocracy and let the cats reclaim it's
power for Gaia. Us: 2 Them: 1
Result: Two Camarilla
Kindred
dead, Diego escaped. Us: 2 Them: 2
The final tally for the Camarilla was three dead, many wounded. We
killed
at least a dozen mortals and several weak Sabbat neonates. The Sabbat
masters escaped, and no Technocracy pawns were removed. We lost.
Rebuttal from Marc Elliot, IDS God.
I'd just like to say, as the storyteller for this game, that I don't feel that the players lost when they went to the Sabbat game. The characters killed most of the young Sabbat, and the elders (those that were left after the other times the characters killed some of the other Sabbat elders) were forced to flee. Further, the PC's were able to rid Boulder of the Technocracy presence. Just my two cents.
Game 23 - Friday, September 10, 1999
Laughs With His Tongue In Her Butt was one of the two council members in my
favor, a Red Talon referred to as "Kills" stood in as the prosecutor,
and a philodox whose name I do not remember stood in as the judge, or
mediator.
The events were first related in precise detail, using a combination of
all witness testimony and then each of my friends and allies gave an
emotional testimony to my innocence (even Laughs himself spoke for me). The Red Talon closed with saying, "He's guilty and he's going to
die."
After the Council had moved outside to have a private exchange, there was a
violent encounter between one of the Talons and a Follower of Set named
Barakas (played by Jason Young). I investigated the situation and found that
Elverick (the Verbena Mage) had ended the conflict by putting all the
Garou to sleep with some sort of magical sleeping gas.
It was when I took Barakas a short distance away for a private
conversation that the son of Kills attempted to assassinate me. I was
dragged from the conflict in Torpor due to the efforts of all of my
allies. During this encounter, the truth of Kills' involvement became
clear when he made his own attempt at taking my head.
Mysteriously to most, I seemed to spontaneously heal the horrible wounds
that had been inflicted upon me, once I was in safety, and the rest of
that evening was spent attempting to solve the situation without
violence.
Unfortunately, Kills refused to solve the dispute in any manner other
than assuring my permanent destruction.
After much debate, we finally
agreed on the terms of a duel (we argued even more about when the duel would
actually take place), and met in an arena, hosted by a respected and
feared changer who presided over the battle.
The visual blow by blow is as follows:
The world swam about me in a sea of wounded delirium, but I still felt
the barrier between worlds weaken as the child of my enemy came forward
from the umbra to continue the challenge...
Sorry, to be rude, but the interview was cut short at that point. Grace and I will continue at a later date, with continuing details of his battles with the Garou. Game 24 - Friday, October 22, 1999

Report of Geoffery Covington III, scourge of the
Camerilla council...
March 10, 2000
Sires,
It is my duty to report that our plan has met with
great success! Per previous reports (this report
lists several dates), we proceeded with our plan to
push as many catiff towards LA as possible. From New
York to Atlanta, St. Louis to Denver, have continued
to hound and kill their leaders. As previously
discussed, while it would appear, as Madame
Guie(Toreador justicar) said, that this would
strengthen the Anarch forces in LA, we have found the
opposite is true. Where ever these refugees arrive,
they immediately begin to attempt to take a position
of strength in that city, thus disrupting the current
status quo among their kind. I wish to know how you
want us to proceed. The plan was to continue on to
Salt Lake city, Las Vegas, Seattle (as we know, an
almost undeclared "Free State"), then to LA, to finish
the final destruction of the Anarch States. The
reason that I ask for instruction is in the second
part of the report.
When we came to Denver, we paid little attention to
local politics, other than to assess the situation.
We discovered that there was already in place an
Anarch leader, who calls himself the "Player". For
several months, we formented as much rebellion as possible among the refugees against this "Player",
thus continuing with the plan. We also managed to dig
up quite a bit of information on him (see attached).
Now, it was during this time that the "situation" in
Denver began. As you know, a serious breach of the
Masquerade occured here. Our investigations turned
up very interesting information indeed. Apparently,
quite a conflict erupted here over the princedom of
the city. This conflict was between individuals, all
of whom may have been infernalists! Grace Sylvar, who
was appointed by the Archon Rasputin, apparently
disappered in an attempt to deal with an Infernal
entity. According to some, he was attempting to
undercut the power of the other individuals involved,
namely Nathanial (see attached file) and Morganna Le
Fay (see attached file). He failed and was taken by
this entity. It is also possible that he was tricked
by Morganna, Nathanial, or both into this action.
Certainly, neither wasted anytime in taking power in
the city. Indeed, it was their greed for power that
led me to the investigation. You see, they began
their move BEFORE anyone could be sure that Mr. Sylvar
was out of the political scene. In any case, my
investigations reveal that Nathanial is the one
responsible for the breach. According to all
information, including information from Setite ghouls
(judicious bribery; I do love when evil turns upon
itself), he does indeed have the power to physically
manipulate his appearence, obtained from infernal
powers. However, though he may have had his own
twisted agenda, he was most certainly Ms. La Feys' man
in this matter. Ms. La Fey did indeed obtain
Princedom of the city, after declaring Praxis. At
the time, I must admit, I was unsure of my information
and this, unfortunately led to the death of the Keeper
of the Elysium, Que Jon, as he opposed her.
In any case, Sires, after obtaining more information, I
knew that you would not want the situation to
continue. Accordingly, at the next gathering, I set
about finding out those that might oppose her (Ms. La
Fey). Interestingly, these included a number of
"others". It is indeed true that the Camerilla here
has "alliances" with the "others" and includes them in
their council. After discovering that many of the
Kindred did not want her as Prince, and that suitable
candidates were present, I confronted Ms. La Fey. She
attempted to "solve" the situation by presenting Mr.
Sylvar to me. It was laughable, Sires, as the
"Sylvar" was clearly a conditioned individual,
possibly a mortal whom she Embraced (said individual
should have already arrived to you). During the
confrontation, an individual named Hans Gruben (see
attached file) was apparently able to return Ms. La
Feys' soul to her! I still have not obtained
information on how this was done, but it lends final
proof of her infernal nature. This done, it was then
possible to destroy her, which I and others attempted
to do. Unfortunately, both she and Nathanial escaped.
I then presided over the choosing of a new Prince,
which I am happy to report was Mr. Gruben. He then
Blood Hunted both her and Nathanial.
My Sires, the situation here is still in a great deal
of turmoil. The breach continues to cause great
problems. Further, Mr. Gruben is going to have a
problem with "the Player" as he is acknowledged here
and therefore feels immune to us. I feel that this
situation needs a strong Archon prescence, someone
that knows the situation. I, humbly, petition,
therefore, to be made Archon. It is true that the
Justicar, in this case Madame Guie, normally picks
their Archon, but I know that she would listen to your
advice, given all the information above. As a final
note, it is indeed true that Mr. Guido Giovanni is
heavily involved in the politics of the city. Given
that, I request that this missive be responded to
urgently.
Your servant,
In game location: Prince defined Elysium/and an "auction house" above a "temple". Most of the Kindred were invited to an auction by Iasuf ib Hasan.
Game was extended past midnight to deal with the problems
arising from the Manson concert.
Denver had some hoighty-toity visitors last gathering who were bent on solving the Sabbat problem while fixing the horrible breaches that occured during the Marilyn Manson concert (see Game 19). The Sabbat problem was handled in Denver's...customary fashion.
Prince Grace Sylvar called a gathering to asses the state of Denver's forces after the battle at the church. The Sabbat situation was also discussed, with much deliberation about possible solutions. It was brought forth that the Sabbat had issued the Camarilla a "challenge". They wanted to play "Cowboys and Indians". The place: CU-Boulder campus. The time: Friday, August 13th. The stakes: the lives of all the students on campus. Of course, we had to go.
Game summary provided by Devin Moss.
The Sabbat had invited the Camarilla and allies to a 'game' of
Cowboys and Indians on the CU campus. The terms: don't show up, and
the
students die by the numbers. Lose, and the students die by the
numbers.
Having no choice, the Camarilla showed up ready to fight.
Game summary quoted directly from an interview with Prince Grace Sylvar
Basically, there was a big trial that took place within a cave where
the cabin had once stood within the Garou sept. This is Owl's Place he is referring to. (The trial was in
relation to a shedding of blood within the sept two games ago, of which
I and two others had been guilty.)
The Garou lunged at me, moving even faster than Kindred are capable,
but as he closed in with his jaws, I vanished.
Appearing to move faster than the human eye could calculate, I came at
him from the rear, assaulting him with a spray of thrown blades that
buried themselves in his flesh, and severing the achiles tendon in his
left leg with the curved blade of a sword that seemed to materialize in
my hand.
Barely stunned by what would normally be a devestating attack, the
Garou's jaws snapped shut inches in front of my face as I caught the
beast by it's hulking face with one forceful hand.
In another moment, the Garou was grasping at empty air again, and this
time, not even the mighty Red Talon elder could shrug off the
seriousness of the inflicted injury. As the sixth thrown blade marked
the maned flesh of the Garou warrior, my sword was taking off his right
foot with a single viscious slice.
Crumpling to one knee, his jaws continued to chew at the air, grasping
for his elusive target relentlessly...
And this time, his cavernous maw found it's mark, and a row of canine
razors closed about my throat like a vice, nearly taking my head off of
my shoulders in one bite.
To the crowd about me, it seemed as though I drove the sword held in my left
hand into the creature's abdomen while simultaneously forcing it's jaws
open with the same hand and splitting open it's gullet with the weapon
on the right.
Overcome with harm, it's body sagged limply to the bloody earth at it's
feet, and barely able to stand myself, I finished my foe with a final
strike, the hilt of single sword hanging above it's victim's carcass
like a funeral marker.
Game summary provided by Jenner.
After the battle between the Prince and the Red Talon elder the
alliance
still stands. Morgana le Fay (the one and only) introduced herself
before the
Prince. When Guido saw her he freaked out and ran through a wall (just
like
in the cartoons) and has gone into hiding until she goes away. The
Prince
took some time out to award status to those who've helped him in the
past and
to acknowledge new arrivals and allow domain requests to be heard.
Everyone
pretty much got what they wanted as far as domains go.
Game summary provided by Jenner.
A chaos spirit with some weird Egyptian name (when you say it you hear
Pan
flutes) took possession of several characters and drove them to attack
random
individuals within Elysium. No one was killed, but Jade
was almost destroyed with the spirit took control of him and he went
Crinos
and started attacking people. Dr. Gruben healed him before he could
die.
The spirit appeared to the group as a satyr and in a nutshell declared
that
it was going to destroy everyone, blah, blah, blah. The group took it
upon
themselves to find a way to destroy this latest enemy somehow. And they
started to form some plans.
Game summary provided by Jenner.
The chaos spirit challenged the werebear played by Devin Moss to a
battle for
Owl's caern. As the challenged, the werebear (whose name escapes me
sorry) was able to pick the test. The test was for both to build the
perfect
arrow without the use of any supernatural gifts, powers etc. and hunt a
deer
with it. The one to bring back the largest animal wins. The outcome of
that
is currently unknown.
While that challenge was taking place, the majority of the characters
went to
Rocky Flats, the apparent source of the chaos spirit and home to a
Black
Spiral Dancer caern. (I wasn't there so you'll have to talk
to
another for exact details of that.) Apparently the caren was destroyed, none of
our
people were killed (but there were probably close calls). Good for us
Game summary provided by Jenner.
Jade gave a eulogy for Laughs.
Morgana may be an infernalist. The fae think she's evil incarnate.
(sound
familiar?) And everybody wants her and Nathaniel (who also may be an
infernalist) destroyed. Fred Dawson was apparently sent to Hell when an imp he was holding was
destroyed. (But don't quote me on that because I was on the other side
of the
room--and I (ooc) had the flu :) . And he was found later in the
parking lot
of Bryon's character's store (he's thinking about buying it) on top of
the
Prince's car, all torn up (think Hellraiser).
There is no information for this game at this time.
