April 10, 1998 - Premiere Game

Game 2 - May 8, 1998

Game 3 - June 5, 1998

  • In game location: Dark Secrets, a low key, but very popular, Goth club run by the city's own Ares Giovanni. The Giovanni have offered up the bar as a meeting site to allow neutral ground for the upcoming political decisions. Ares is known to have a violent streak and is not nearly as forgiving as his Great-Uncle Guido. It is strongly suggested that this club be in the same shape when the meeting is over as it was when the meeting started.

In Game Goals: The goal of this gathering is to initiate the process by which the new prince of the city will be chosen. And to see if anyone has information on the odd happenings at previous gatherings, or any of the current news topics.

(Additional notes provided by your friendly neighborhood WebMistress.)

As it turns out, some Ventrue finally arrived in our fair city. Two Candidates stepped forward to promote themselves as possible Princes, Arthur W. Freeman and Walter Goldsmith. Due (in my humble opinion) to some heavy campaigning by fellow Ventrue Hiram Winthorpe, Mr. Freeman was voted Prince. Among his campaign promises, he gave his word that Denver's large contingent of Caitiff would continue to enjoy the same rights as they had under Sir Marcus Dane's rule.

Game 4 - July 3, 1998

Game 5 - August 14, 1998

Game 6 - August 28, 1998

Game 7 - September 11, 1998

Game 8 - Friday, September 25, 1998

  • During the last gathering the Alliance between the Garou and the Kindred was cemented.

On Friday the 25th, everyone has been called to Dark Secrets to plan strategies against the city's foes. This particular meeting will also include a combat clinic led by Guido Giovanni, Trang, The Akashic Master Mage, Shadow, the Garou Sept's Master of the Challenge, and Mystique, Sidhe Knight and Mistress of the local Fey freehold. All supernaturals in the area are requested to attend.

    Also to be discussed are:

    • Plans for dealing with Doctor X.
    • Forming a posse to go hunting for the Wereshark.
    • Finding a way to lure out the Abomination and destroy it.
    • Any information on the force manipulating the two above mentioned creatures.
    • Possible cease fire between the Sabbat and the Camarilla, long enough to deal with the above.

Side note: to those who didn't already know, a LARGE force of Sabbat operate out of and own Dante's. By order of the Prince no Camarilla members shall go within 5 miles of Dante's.

Game 9 - Friday, October 9, 1998

THE BIG BATTLE!

  • After gathering as much help as we could (in the form of were's, changelings, and others), Denver's Kindred went in search of Dr. X's laboratory. The....unique...skills of Damiana Ferenczy enabled the war party to get into the compound without too many losses. (Although wouldn't it have been pretty to watch the parts left over from the mine field get crispy fried by the lasers before they were teleported into specially designed cages that srip all supernaturals of their powers?) In the main room, Dr. X was busy channelling energy from four hosts into a mysterious machine (presumably the gateway). The combatants divided up, some attempting to disable the machine, some attacking the goons in the room, and our own Prince, Alexander Franks, trying to take out Dr. X. It was a long and perilous battle, but the good guys won the day! (Obviously, or we would all be presently in the bowels of some disgusting, vile demon from another dimension.)

Game 15 - Friday, January 15, 1999

  • Prince Sylvar appointed his officers tonight. Chaos, of the Caitiff, was appointed Sherriff. Gregory, of Clan Tremere, was appointed Keeper of Elysium. And ANOTHER of Jason's characters (the Lasombra whose name is impossible to remember, let alone pronounce - Don Ruiz) was appointed Scourge. The Prince also announced that the Primogen Council would consist only of Primogen from recognized Camarilla clans. However, he would be appointing representatives from the other factions of the city to sit on his Advisory Council, and he welcomes anyone to apporoach him at any time with concerns. He also recognized several new Kindred in the city, including some Setites. There goes the neighborhood!

Game 16 - Friday, January 29, 1999

  • (Respectfully submitted by Private Investigator Russell Nash.)

Unrest continues to sweep Denver as Sergei's forces continue to hold the city in an iron grip. Many mortal influences are negated and ineffectual. We assembled to hear Rasputin's call for action against Sergei. After much scrambling, we manage to loosen Sergei's hold on the Police. Finally, we get word that a trainload of Femori (horrible posessed human-types) are coming to the city! Quickly, we set some high explosives, and attacked the traincars en masse. A massive explosion ensued, killing all but three of the Femori and (unfortunately) a few innocent bystanders. The three remaining Femori were displatched, and another threat was averted.

Game 17 - Friday, February 26, 1999

  • (Respectfully submitted by PI Russell Nash.)

We gathered at the Lab of Joseph Stonecraft, who asked for help againt the Technocracy. The Camarilla leaders refused his request, citing Masquerade concerns. The assembled Garou were all for it, wanting a fight and wanting it now. They would get their wish soon.

After months of tedious work, we have loosened Sergei's hold on the City enough to find where his main hideout is. Led by Rasputin and Grace, we descended on a large Denver Mansion to begin the bloody slaughter of his minions (oh, the inhumanity! woe! woe!). They finally destroyed the mansion in an attempt to take the life of Rasputin and Grace, who both escaped unharmed.

After our return to the lab, we were intruded upon by Sergei and three of his minions! He challenged Rasputin to direct combat for command of Denver. Rasputin accepted, and both became blurs of furious motion. The titanic battle lasted mere minutes, with Sergei finally gutting Rasputin like a fish and spilling his powerful Elder blood. All seemed lost as Sergei demanded the Kindred yield to his will.

Somehow, Rasputin's defeat summoned none other than the legendary Baba Yaga herself, who turned Sergei into an apple and tucked him away. She brushed off his remaining minions as if they were mayflies, healed Rasputin, and took him away. Witnesses report that Rasputin called her 'grandmother'!

Game 18 - Friday, March 19, 1999

  • Hmmm.....I don't think that's how the evening was supposed to go!

Prince Sylvar had called the city together for a meeting at Owl's place. Several new Kindred showed up (as usual), but the Prince was quite tardy (not usual). One of the more..."popular"...new Kindred was a young lady by the name of Jessabelle. She seemed to be quite a success, at least with the gentlemen. Must've been that "heaving bosom" of hers. :-) Another was a gentleman calling himself Christoff.

By the time the Prince did show up, Jessabelle and her "paramours" were already causing a ruckus. I'm not entirely sure what happened, but it seems that everyone started trying to get their hands on Jessabelle and fighting for the chance to do so.

Jessabelle was rescued from the mob by a little oriental lady, only to meet up with the lady's boyfriend! (Apparently, each was attracted to the other. By the time everyone else got outside, the two were just going at it right in the parking lot!) In an attempt to seperate the pair, both Prince Sylvar and the little lady disappeared along with the couple and weren't seen again for the rest of the evening. So much for the Prince's meeting!

    (Completely OUT OF CHARACTER info):

It seems that there was a mass orgy taking place in some parallel realm, with all four people having a darn good time! Even our staid and reserved Prince was getting into the spirit of things!! Unfortunately, it didn't end until everyone was too exhausted to do much else (except replenish their depleted blood pools), so TECHNICALLY nobody has seen any of the four since the meeting! Woo-hoo! Way to go Grace!

Game 19 - Friday, May 21, 1999

  • Let's just say that the Marilyn Manson concert was.....entertaining, shall we? Dante's was packed to capacity (with a line going twice around the building of people still hoping to get in) and there was a veritable media circus on hand to record the mayhem. Almost as many protesters ringed Dante's parking lot, and the Christian Coalition phoned in a bomb threat.

The Camarilla had plans to try to disrupt the concert (since it seems that those type of concerts are "breeding" grounds for Sabbat recruits), but those don't seem to have worked too well. Just a hunch, but Manson himself is more than he seems and appears to be working with the Sabbat. Partially into the opening act (a lovely little Christian-Rock band), all of the exits to Dante's mysteriously disappered. Once the Christians were booed off the stage, the real show started with Manson and his band (led by an entourage carting the Christian band members strung up on crucifixes). At a cue from Manson himself, many members of the audience (apparently Sabbat Kindred) started tearing through the crowd (both literally and figuratively) Embracing mortals left and right.

Both Joseph Stonecraft and his apprentice, Elverick Sunsender, tried to damage Manson directly while a crowd of Cam-friendly Kindred tried unsuccessfully to rush the stage. Several Kindred, including the Prince himself, the Scourge and the always charming Jenner, jumped into the fray (literally) when the Sabbat started attacking the hapless concert-goers. Unfortunately, our heroes seemed doomed when the masses of newly arisen Sabbat (most still covered in dirt) streamed forth from the basement.

However, not even the Sabbat were safe from what appeared next.

Large (truck-sized) deformed pig-like things appeared out of nowhere and started eating any and all vampires. At that point, any and all wise beings decided to vacate the building by any means necessary (several created their own exits). At some point during the commotion, a large explosion caused Dante's to cave in upon itself, hopefully killing the pig-things. Unfortunately, the media crew captured (and broadcast live) a lot of footage of several serious breaches of the Masquerade. (See In the News for specifics.)

Game was extended past midnight to deal with the problems arising from the Manson concert.

At the next gathering, everyone was busily discussing the breaches and what to do about them. Suddenly, Faethor Ferenczy (anyone remember him?) and ten of his Conquistador buddies showed up. Faethor started arguing with the Prince (with Lacyril trying to mediate), and somehow it turned into a fight and shooting spree. Presently, roll call has not been taken and casualties have not yet been identified.

Game 20 - Friday, June 18, 1999

Denver had some hoighty-toity visitors last gathering who were bent on solving the Sabbat problem while fixing the horrible breaches that occured during the Marilyn Manson concert (see Game 19). The Sabbat problem was handled in Denver's...customary fashion.

Rumor had it that a church on Colfax was a Sabbat holding. In the attempt to destroy the Sabbat, the church suffered some "redecorating" thanks to Faethor Ferenczy. (Has anyone noticed how this guy keeps appearing, even though he's supposedly suffered Final Death?) Several priests were also injured/killed in the "redecorating".

The Prince and the Scourge were once again leading the battle, while the mages and the Tremere did their best to remove any mystical problems at the church. Once all the mystic barrers around the church were down, it was a fairly easy task for the strike force to enter and wreak havoc (their specialty).

Unfortunately, there was a large, cross-like thingy that sent out burning light. One of the bad guys was about to escape through a portal (to who-knows-where), when the portal was unexpectedly sealed. The bad guy was stuck, and the cross was activated. Every vampire in range of the light was instantly torpored. Fortunately, we had allies who were unaffected. We won the day (night, whatever), thanks to the efforts of our Mage and Garou allies.
