DEVRY

DEVRY is a school for technolegy. It is NOT a tech school however. In fact they have recently changed their name from The DEVRY Institue to DEVRY University. They were so sick of catching crap when they are infact ABET (American Board of Engineering Technolegy) Certified. OK, enough said on that. This is DEVRY Phoenix:


So far it's great. We are taking several classes, which you can find in the schedule section. They really are quite advanced. Attendence is manditory, just like high school but it's neat because the whole system is computerized. Your student ID has a barcode and every classroom is equipt with one of these:

If you go there, you know why attendence is required. If you miss a class, it hurts you. So much information is covered so quickly. DEVRY is on the trimester program, semesters break mid July, the end of October, and mid March. To recieve a bachelor of science in Computer Engineering you must attend three years of classes, or nine semseters.

DEVRY isn't all hard work though. They have some great oppurtunities. They help you find a job if you need it. There is a "job board" that covers an entire hallway just pages and pages of job openings in about size ten font. They actually have a database of the job numbers, so you can go into the computer and enter your social security number and it pulls up a list of jobs that might interest your personality or career major.

DEVRY also has an awesome student lounge and game room. shown below. On the second floor fhere is an academic support center where upperclassmen are there to help you with subject areas you have trouble with. They have a small library that would be of absolutely NO interest to the general public... mostly books on engineering, C++, Logic, and Digital Circuits.
