I do want to make a summary of not only what I have learned over the years, but
also what I have learned over the years during the writing of this journal. The
most important learning experience I have had is spiritual. I have learned to
depend on a Heavenly Father Who is Omniscient and Omnipotent as well as All
Loving. No matter how difficult the situations in life are, I cannot believe
anything different about my Heavenly Father. He is a Soveriegn God as well as
a Loving Heavenly Father. This is why John 3:16 became so meaningful in my life
at an early age: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son
that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
I also learned by my experiences through the years what is the most important
responses I should have as a result. Just as Jesus answered the question of the
lawyer, the first and foremost goal for our life is to love the Lord our God
with all our heart and all our strength and then to love others. I also learned
that the best way to do this is to follow the example of Jesus as He lived and
taught in his earthly life. Pray just the way He prayed. Worship just the way
He worshipped. Forgive just the way He forgave, and be willing to die just as
willingly as He died. Of course I realize that I will never be able to reach
the level He did but that should not keep me from using His life as a goal,
What do I expect to happen in the future? Well, first of all I am looking for
that Blessed Hope, the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ! Will it still
happen in my lifetime? For me it will! If He doesn't come for all of us while
I am still alive, He will certainly come for me personally. And I trust that
because all of my mistakes, failures and sins will be forgiven, I will hear Him
say, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant." You see, even though the Lord
is an Omniscient God, He also is a Forgetful Father! He promised to forgive
and forget all of my sins and remove them as far as the East is from the West.
What do I plan to do until that day when He calls me home? Whatever He gives me
the strength to do in His service. As long as he keeps me in a place where I am
able to serve Him as a "Cyberscriber for the Savior" I will joyfully do it. I
learned a long time ago that He expects us to always do three specific things
with our lives in addition to worshipping Him. They are all a part of what is
called the Great Commission. We are first told to share the Gospel every chance
we have. When we bring someone to the saving knowledge of the Lord, we are to
bring them into the fellowship of the church through baptism. And finally, as
a part of that same Great Commission we are also to teach those new converts
everything that the Lord has commanded as part of their daily spiritual growth.
And He promised that He would always be with us, even until the end of the age
when He returns in all of His Kingly Power and Glory! Halleluia! Maranatha!
