Current Projects:

I am currently on a one-year contract as an Assistant Professor at Harstad College, teaching a survey course in American Studies.

Apart from my strenuous teaching schedule, I am currently working on applications for Ph.D.-programs, and a paper for the Nordic Association of American Studies Biannual Conference this summer.

I recently had one article published by Harstad College Press and one in the University of Tromsø journal Kjellerdypet.

Moreover, I will take my webdesign savvy to school, designing the English Department website at the college.

Research Interests:

• In terms of time, space and genre: Contemporary American Fiction.
• In terms of theoretical persuasion: Hermeneutic semiology, a position between hermeneutics and deconstruction. It is a philosophy of meaning and the subject (the reader) in view of current theories of textuality.
• In terms of political agenda: Feminist, or more widely, anti-hierarchical humanist.
