POSTAL
Green with Amber swirls

This saddle groove style insulator is embossed on the top of one ear "POSTAL".

Postal Telegraph Company was a competitor of the Western Union Telegraph Company from the 1870's until about 1940, when it was finally bought out by its larger rival. Postal was the last major independent telegraph company to be taken over by Western Union.

This colorful example was recovered from an abandoned line near the small town of Money, MS in Leflore County.
