CD1000No Embossing AQUA Glass blocks were among the earliest types of insulators used for telegraph lines. One of the three competing lines constructed from Washington, D.C. to New Orleans, LA built during 1848-1851 followed the Natchez Trace through Mississippi. This example was dug from a privy at a pre-Civil War house site in Natchez, and was likely used on that line. |
