Almighty God is the Creator of heaven and earth. He created us in His own image with a free will as small reflections of Himself. Our chief purpose was to glorify Him and enjoy Him forever.
However, we chose to rebel against Him. Since then, "...all have sinned and come short of the
glory of God." Romans 3:23 Because the entire human race inherited a radically sinful nature, no one is naturally able to do, think, or desire good in God's eyes any longer. We all became spiritually dead, deserving to suffer God's eternal wrath for our sin. Yet God, in his great mercy, had another plan. He sent his own Son to die a gruesome death, bearing our own sin and suffering the wrath of God for our sin. Christ Jesus the Son of God satisfied the requirements of divine justice for all those for whom he died, so that they might be forgiven. Jesus rose from the
dead on the third day, conquering the power of death once and for all. Now he sits at the right hand of the Father, ruling as King over all nations and making intercession for his people. He shall come again with glory to judge the living and the dead.
Now God offers redemption to all people through the blood of His Son. If you repent of your sin, and believe in Jesus Christ alone for the forgiveness of your sin, then you will be saved. "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through
Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23 Now is the day of God's grace. You do not know whether you will live to see tomorrow, or when the Son will come again.
Only Almighty God can regenerate the human heart from death to life and create this saving faith within a person by the Holy Spirit's effective power. "Ye must be born again." John 3:7 In His infinite and incomprehensible wisdom, God sovereignly chose the partakers of His grace before the foundation of the world. "According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will," Ephesians 1:5 Christ is King over all creation and has appointed the territories of all nations on earth. Acts 17:26 He will continue to rule the nations from the Father's right hand until all His enemies are subdued. Psalm 110
