This page is the official home of the Broaden Your Horizons Blues Show. My album is sold through this web site as well, so check out LOVE/MERCY to see what my music sounds like. BYH is now also the home of the Concert Video Review Home Page. We will be forming a database of Official Concert Video reviews as well as keeping updates on radio station happenings and the like.
About the video review pages: Videos in question will be VHS and DVD releases, both in and out of print. This is a resource for those who wish to find good quality concerts available for home viewing. Send any submissions for consideration through the email address below. $ - Money. Our rating symbol in place of the usual 'star'.
$$$$$ - Five. Excellent and essential for any fan of the genre.
$$$$ - Four. Still superb, but essential only for those interested in the particular artist.
$$$ - Three. Average. Not spectacular, but a good live show that features good songs. Technically good quality, with fine sound.
$$ - Two. Starting to slide. A mediocre performance and technical problems. Bad sound and grainy film mar this performace.
$ - One. Avoid, unless you must have it. Although most professional videos are good technically, these shows may be grainy and sound bad due to the venue. The artist, as well, may be off that night, or (as is the case in rock)a bit intoxicated.
