For those of you who are at a loss for who on earth the enigmatic RAMMSTEIN are, well here's a little explanation of the band, its name, and other related subjects. So sit back, relax, grab a coke (or soda of your choice), and enjoy!

Rammstein is a German industrial band which borders hardcore and their music, once listened to, seems either to cling to one's mind, or disgust you. They are known for their live shows, which are quite fiery indeed! Their mesmerizing display of pyrotechnics has become their trademark, and Rammstein shows include lead singer Till Lindemann being set on fire, and generally having a good time with pyre in its many forms.

Perhaps you are wondering what their name means?! Well, according to Till Lindemann, Ramstein is a German hamlet where a terrible airshow tragedy took place (a US Air Force Base is locaed there). Many people were killed and injured as a fighter crashed into a crowd of onlookers. Note the spelling of this town....only one "m". As sort of a tribute to this tragic event, RAMMSTEIN threw in an extra "m". If one were to look up "rammstein" in a German-English dictionary, the literal translation which would be found: "battering ram". As I think about it, this definition isn't terribly inappropriate for the band!
