Subject: Letter to the Editor, re Noor Inayat Khan

Sir,

I write regarding the remarkable author and lover of liberty Noor Inayat Khan, GC, MBE, CdG, born in the Kremlin, Moscow, 2 January 1914, executed at Dachau, Germany, 12 September 1944.

I learnt of her fine life from a recent book, "Between Silk and Cyanide", by her codemaker, Leo Marks, and from a website dedicated to her memory, at www.tinyurl.com/noorsociety

I understand from the latter that there is a campaign to commemorate her heroism by the issue of a postage stamp. That seems to me to be a laudable aim.

May I ask your newspaper and readers to support it?

Yours faithfully,

David Broadhurst
