I have decided to re-open Krycheck's Protest Page after it's FortuneCity account was shut down a few months ago.

THE STORY!
The X-FILES, a show which started out as a huge gamble produced by 20th Century Fox TV, a network which itself was the underdog of networks, has become the biggest internet controversy story to date.
Since the inception of The X-Files, and its original meager ratings, fans of the show began demonstrating their support through creative expressions here on the WWW. Fans loved the show and, through pictures and sounds, were determined to show the world why!
These dedicated "X-Philes", as they are known, not only loved the show but they were willing to expend massive amounts of time and energy detailing their fandom, telling the world why, via highly creative WWW pages !
A vast majority of these WWW sites were created by personal web authors such as myself. We don't want money, we don't want notoriety -- we simply wished to express ourselves and our belief in the show with the hopes others would jump on our enthusiastic bandwagon!
People cruising the WWW who hadn't heard of the show began taking notice. "What are the X-FILES?", "What kind of show can produce such dedicated fans?".
It was, in part, the dedication of these "X-Philers" which helped to catapult The X-Files from an obscure, fledgling, sci-fi show, to mega-hit cult status, helping to recruit an even higher number of dedicated fans. As the shows fandom grew, so did the number of X-FILES pages.
In essence, 20th Century Fox TV couldn't have paid for a better advertising scheme than the free one the "X-Philers" where bringing to the web. Afterall, money couldn't buy the contagious enthusiasm these pages undoubtedly conveyed!
As an example, on the day Millennium (Another Chris Carter creation) premiered, Gil Trevizo, an excited fan of the show, released his unofficial Millennium web site. Like so many other dedicated fans, Gil spent untold hours of unpaid time creating his web page. Fox immediately took legal action, freezing his college e-mail account, sending him cease-and-desist orders and ultimately forcing the shut down of his web page. Fox was bombarded with so many angry e-mails protesting their attack on Gil, Fox was forced to shutdown down all their incoming e-mail accounts because of server failures. But Fox held its position ...
To the hundreds of thousands of X-Philers actively perusing the WWW everyday this seemed more like a "big-brother crushes the defenseless little guy" conspiracy plot one might find on the X-FILES tv show, not something a fan should have to experience. But it is happening .... and all us "X-Philers" find ourselves being threatened by the very show we once hailed!

The Ultimate goal is to inform as many people as possible!
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
If you wish to help in the effort, i suggest the following:
If you are a web page author as i am, i suggest you re-write your page (If you haven't done so already) and provide as much information as possible and ADVERTISE, ADVERTISE, ADVERTISE!
Treat your new "PROTEST" page as you would any new web page you've created. Find ways to generate hits!
If you need to, take any graphics and/or text from this page you may need to help your work (I don't sue people)!
You can try sending FOX your thoughts. Unfortunately, FOX conveniently decided to shut down all known e-mail addresses because of the unbearable amount of e-mail they were recieving (Their server was getting crashed). The e-mail addresses used to be:
David Oakes (attorney for Fox)- davido@foxinc.com
Webmaster for Fox - reapr@newscorp.com
Fox comments address - askfox@foxinc.com
Your best bet is to send Fox some snail-mail and let them know what you think.
