Gods:

In RPG context gods are those players that have reached a level of power beyond that of other characters.. Tyran RPG does not however have an experience point system with which you gain power by. Thus a different approach has to be taken if we are to allow gods in the campaign. Here is my list of suggested rules for gods:

1:Combat Lines and vulnerabilities: A gods power comes from his followers. For every two followers the god has, he has one combat line. This means that rather than attacking the god directly, the easiest way to hurt him is to kill his or her minions. When the god has no followers left, the god fades out of existence within 24 hours.

2: Gods must have a place in which they are the rulers. On this home soil they are almost indestructible. Only another god can kill them here. This room must be registered by the god or he must have operator privileges.

3. Gods are not killers. In common mythology it is easy to see the way gods work. They punish, they do not kill. They will rarely fight to the death and prefer to battle over followers than over words.

4. Gods cannot initiate fights with mortals. They can send minions after a target, but cannot actively seek out and attack a mortal. The only way a mortal and god will ever fight is if the god was attacked by the mortal.

5. The DM’s must recognize all gods in Tyran as being gods. This means the DM’s will set a minimum level of followers the gods must acquire in order to become a god in the first place. If this level is reached the god must do three things: get permission from at least half of the DM’s of Tyran, post the fact that he is ready to ascend to godhood, and maintain this level of followers for three days. Only after these three things have been accomplished can the character be recognized as a god.

6. The god must create a profile of his character and send it to the DM’s of Tyran with the following information. The name of the god. The number of followers the god has and a list of names of these followers. Note that the followers may NOT be multiple characters played by the same person. If they are and the god is caught, he will lose his mantle of godhood and will be stripped of any titles he holds, this includes knight, high council, etc… Also include the powers of the god, his special abilities etc…

7. Gods can confirm a kill as long as there are no DM’s there, the kill must be legal in order for it to count on a gods word alone and a copy of the fight must be send to a DM for revision.

That’s all so far. These rules are tentative and subject to change without notification. They are not in effect at this time and are under review by the DM’s. Questions, comments? Please mail me at Stryk_of_Dk@talkcity.com Thank you all, I hope to see you around.
