Feb. 2007 - A number of folks have written to me in the three years since I left Crestone, asking where I am and if I have created more labyrinths.

I am now living in Newport, Washington, a small town of about 2,200 folks in the north-east corner of the state about 50 miles above Spokane.  It took me a bit to think of a name to use for this project as I did with Crestonehenge.  So far I have decided on Newportal.

Crestone was bright sun, expansive, dry and sparsely vegetated.  Newport in contrast is shaded, contracted, moist and heavily vegetated.  I am still just getting started here with concepts and planning.  It took quite a lot of thinking before I put that first stone on the ground in Crestone and even then that stone was moved many times before I was satisfied with its position.

I have started a web site for Newportal to document my progress with this project as well.  It is currently located at http://crestonehenge.com/newportal.  We shall see what it develops in to.
