Welcome to Crestone, located in  the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of Colorado's San Luis Valley.  Crestone has a population of about 70 but located just outside the town limits is the 5000 acre Baca Grande subdivision where another 700 or so folks live.

One hundred years ago Crestone was a mining and ranching community, today it is home to a number of diverse spiritual and ecological organizations.

The area in the red box on the on the above map is enlarged below.

"Crestonehenge", the blue dot at the bottom of the map, is located about 6.6 miles from the entrance of the Baca, on the far south end of the Baca Grande subdivision.  The Allot Trail cul de sac is not marked but is the first road on the left after turning left at the intersection of Camino Real and Cottonwood Creek Road.

From the entrance of the Baca along Camino Baca Grande, it is about 2.3 miles to the intersection with Camino Real (locally known as Two Trees Road).  From that intersection Camino Real extends for about 4.3 miles to the intersection with Cottonwood Creek Road  (Camino Real ends just after this intersection).
