Sailormoon and Mixxzine

After months of waiting and anticipating the arrival of Sailormoon manga, it has finally paid off. In September 1997, MixxZine launched its first issue of translated manga. MixxZine is a magazine that features "100% pure motionless picture entertainment," more commonly known as manga. MixxZine purchased the rights to translate Sailormoon, (which makes it difficult to find translations on the Internet). Besides Sailormoon, MixxZine is translating Magic Knight Rayearth, Ice Blade and Parasyte, which are all of manga origin. Each monthly issue contains a chapter/act of each of the four stories. In reality, it will take 52 months to complete the Sailormoon saga. The artwork for Sailormoon is the original artwork by Naoko Takeuchi, and the translations have Ms. Takeuchi's stamp of approval. The manga is printed-ink-on-paper. MixxZine sells for approximately $5.99 CAN, and can be found at most magazine stands, bookstores (Chapters) and even Wal-Mart. Subscriptions are also available, but expensive for Canadian readers. The subscription fee is approximately $35.00 in US funds. Taihen! Buying from a store is a lot more convenient and it's cheaper. So, what are you waiting for? The more people reading MixxZine, the better chance we have at them translating the entire 52 acts. Get yours today, and, HAPPY READING!!
