Gunner (aka the Tibetan Sock Mauler in the wilds of Lakewood Colorado) looking handsome as ever March 2009
Gunners dad writes: Hi Debi - I thought I would send you a quick note . Gunner has brought much joy and love into our lives. He's very affectionate, confident, playful, and can be mischievous. Sometimes he will sneak up on me, give me a bit of a nip, and take off running through nooks and crannies of the house where he knows I can't follow. He's a natural retriever, he started that very early on. He has a toy box, and will dig through it for just the right toy, bring it over to be thrown and retrieved. He loves running errands with Momma and the folks at Lowe's and various drive throughs around town know him well. He's a good hiker - he can go five miles at high altitude. But, when he is done, he is done, and will sit down with full expectation that he will be carried home when tuckered out. He doesn't like getting up early, so he hasn't tried duck hunting yet. I often tell Trish that I love him too much. I think he thinks it's just the right amount. Tricia tells me that you are retiring from breeding. If Gunner is a measure, you have been very good for the breed. Best Regards, Jim
Jim thanks for the letter, it's people like you and Trish that make me smile knowing Gunner has such a wonderful home....many hugs and kisses to you Gunner, Love Debi

Good Morning Debi- Just letting you know that all is well. Had a visit with Dr Swann yesterday. Bogie did great! He was so calm and collected, you would have thought he and Dr Swann were old friends. The entire office was delighted with Bogie. He is such a charmer! Dr Swann pronounced him healthy and applied Revolution to safeguard him from fleas, ticks and heartworm. We are settling into a good routine. He is using the puppy training pads in my laundry room due to the wet weather we are having. He is eating about a cup of Proplan a day along with his chicken sticks. He is sleeping through the night and playing well. He will come, sit and lay down for us if we give him a kibble reward. Sometimes he will fetch a toy....sometimes not. : ) We are all quite amused with him. Thank you for all the love and care you gave him. He is just a wonderful puppy and we are so pleased to be his guardians. Will keep in touch. Best Regards, Patricia & Gary

Just a little update about HeyU, he is doing just great and is a very loving and caring companion -it sure is enjoyable to watch him play- he especially enjoys the snow- he is always excited to see our grand daughter and grandson when they visit- he has become quite the social one and visits the neighbors on his daily walks= the walks serve a few purposes and are making both HeyU and the two of us much healthier- I looked on your web site and am sad to hear there will be no more free spirits. Your Free Spirit Lhasa's are definitely the very best line and the most beautiful ever- they are proof that not only good breeding but the right mixture of having the proper knowledge, care and love for them has to be involved. Keep in touch and eventually we will get out to Colorado with HeyU so he can visit with you. Thanks again, Marilyn
This is a photo of HeyU taken before we got covered with snow. For some reason only known to HeyU he picked this chair to be his very own spot to relax .

Hi Cheryl and Debi,

I just wanted to wish you both a very Merry Christmas and a most Happy New Year, and to let you know that Dakota and Cheyenne (now six years old) are happy and healthy. They are the most lovable dogs; I can't thank you enough for letting me adopt both of them. Happy Holidays! Karen

Peyja and Petra in their new home.

Debi, Attached is a picture of Jake that we used for last year's Christmas card. He is doing very good in New Jersey. Yesterday my wife and I played your message on our old answering machine that we saved [to keep the message from you] when Jake was flying in. We are enjoying Jake more than you could imagine; and he has some good friends in my mother's Lhasa [age 10] and my brother's Lhasa [age 3]. We check your site often to look at all of the Lhasa's that have found nice homes...we think it is great that you keep the site updated! Well, all for now. Thank you for a wonderful pup! Jeff and Lisa Wayne, New Jersey

Hi Debi, We have one of your dogs... Her name is Josephine (Josie) and we got her in December 2000, so she is about 7 1/2 years old. She's doing great and we love her so much! Thank you very much! Here is a picture of Josie that you might enjoy. Johanna

Hi Onyx is doing great, the crate is going well. He went to the vets and they said he is perfect. You breed beautiful dogs, we are very pleased. He has such a sweet personality. He wants to play with our other dog Champagne, but she is old(12) and set in her ways, he still tries and tries, I think she will give in. Take care, Lesley PS A picture to show how well Onyx blended in, no pun intended when you see the picture

Hi Debi and Cheryl, Here are some photos of our little Hailey. The one was taken at Christmas. Her favorite spot was right in front of the fireplace. The other was taken last week while she plays peek-a-boo with me. She is now 8 months old and a bundle of energy.. Thank you for bringing us this loving and adorable bundle of fur. Mark and Debi Borrego

DEB, I THINK THIS ONE SHOULD GO ON YOUR WEBSITE....LOOK AT THIS FACE! Alana and Zachy

Dear Debi, January 25, 1994, was the birth date of Shushi, a Lhasa Apso, I purchased from you. He is the love of my life, has been a terrific companion and a treasured member of my family. Yours truly, Barb

Debi and Cheryl- I wanted to send you the latest photo of Valentine. I changed her name to Gabby... because she talks and talks and talks... even when she sleeps she talks... she talks to her blanket at night before she lays down - just make it in the perfect fluffed up shape... she talks to her reflection in the window... and especially loves to talk to the birds who are in the trees in the backyard. She's been part of my family now for one year next week. And I thought I'd send you an updated photo. She lost her fluffy brown puppy hair and is white now. She is so darling and has the most expressive eyes. She and Dudley (my other Lhasa) get along like peas in a pod. They like to groom each other at night before they go to sleep. They are inseparable. Thank you for her. She is a wonderful and fun addition to my home and family. I love her. -Tara

Dear Debi, It has been a year havn't post any Bibo's picture. Here are some taken on his 2nd birthday and some taken recently. He is 2.5 yrs old and weighing 18lbs.Is he in good shape or should I put few weight on him? You know words are just not enough to describe the happiness and brightness he braught to our life, and we love him very very much. Thanks for breeding these wonderful loving little creatures, what a good job! Lhasas are the best! Love, Michael, Lydia & Bibo

Deb, Here is picture made by a friend for Christmas 2006. The girls are now 8 years old and the light of our lives. Gene

Sissy (aka Barbie) after a little to much Holiday Cheer.... Just a few more pics – it’s a good thing we don’t have to have film developed anymore, don’t think a day goes by without 10-15 pics of Sissy – she’s so adorable, can’t resist. Enjoy! (hope they all come through) Dolly

Greetings from the Great Northwest! Immi and Jessie are having a ball together. Because of her size, Immi seems to be the only one squealing when the play gets a bit rough! Nevertheless, she charges back into the fray and TRIES to give as good as she gets. Jessie is the perfect addition to our family. She's beautiful, funny, loveable, smart and a wonderful companion to her sis and us. We feel so blessed. This picture was taken on our deck while the girls were trying to catch the same bug! The lucky insect escaped torture on this day, but had better never darken our deck again while Immi and Jessie are on the prowl! LOL I can't imagine our lives without these two delights! Thanks again so much, Debi and Cheryl, for all your hard work in raising such amazing Lhasas. Love and hugs! -Pam, Bill, Immi, and Jessie

Debi,
It has been 2 years since I have spoken with you and I haven’t given you an update or thank you for allowing us to be part of your Lhasa family……Vegas has been a dream dog for us and we can’t imagine him not being a part of our family……I’m very interested in getting another Lhasa and I was wondering if you have any available? Vegas is very playful with other dogs along with my children……………if I was lucky to get another opportunity to receive another puppy from you all his or her name will be Bellagio………I’m sticking with the Vegas terminology……I will personally come and pick him or her up again………. Rusty
UP DATE 11/2006....Vegas has a new baby sister from Free Spirit Bella for short Rusty says their both doing great!!!

Hi, ladies, Thank you so very, very much for letting Baby (now known as Daisy) become a precious part of our family. Debi, the pictures you sent are awesome; also love the pictures of her mom and dad. Thank you! Attached is a quick photo taken by a cell phone. Hope is comes across ok. If you ladies have a show in town, our family would enjoy attending, just let us know if one comes up. Good luck with your other champion sweethearts, you obviously raise very well mannered, wonderful temperament dogs. Take care, Deb and family

Haley in her new hair cut getting ready to play some PUPberachi on the piano...Thank you Barbara and Rick for taking such wonderful care of this very happy girl.Debi,Cheryl and Linda
Debi, Very creative....Pupberachi! Actually, she's playing Chopin beautifully and we hope to start her on Rachmaninoff a week from Monday! Well, it's two weeks today and she's settled into a wonderful routine. She loves her parents and almost everyone that comes to visit. Occasionally, she needs some time to warm up to certain women. She doesn't want to be held by them and will wiggle out of their hands immediately. But she's being a Lhasa! She loves all men and loves to roll on her back and get belly rubs. Rick and Barbara

Debi,Cheryl and Linda, Haley has exceeded every expectation with her temperament, beauty and type. She is a loving, well mannered pooch that is incredibly intelligent and gentle in her ways. We thank all of you for believing in us, our home and our dedication to this breed. We promise to give her unconditional love, constant attention and a lifetime of fun. You'll also receive many pictures and much feedback about her adventures in Fountain Hills, Arizona! But most of all, we thank you for putting a smile back on our faces and for filling our hearts with love. Rick and Barbara
