I was fishing under a small bridge in the woods near my house. I was excited because this was the first time I was able to go fishing with the new rod and reel that my dad bought for me for my birthday. I positioned myself on a large gray stone near the edge of the river it was a beautiful summer day. I took off my socks and shoes and set them to the side so they wouldn't get wet. Tossing my lure into the water, I waited patiently for a nibble from a fish. After about half an hour... no fish was in sight. I slumped my head in my hand. I decided it was too hot to keep sitting there. I set my reel to the side, and lay on my stomache on the stone. I stuck my hands in the water and swished them around. The water was clear cool and very blue. Suddenly, I felt something bump me in the head. It didn't hurt, it just startled me. I looked up to see a pretty girl floating in an inner tube. She had fallen asleep, and looked as though she was beginning to get a sunburn. "Excuse me", I said. She didn't move, so I said it louder. She opened her eyes and looked up at me. "Where am I"? She asked. "You're in my river", I replied. She sat up and looked around. "It's peaceful here", she said. "It's my favoirite place to be", I said. "Are you hungry? I have some sandwiches, if you want one", I said to her. "She climbed out of the river and sat on the stone next to me. I handed her a sandwich, and got one for myself too. We ate and talked and just let the time fly by. We had a wonderful afternoon together. As the sun began to set, I invited her to my cabin so she could use the phone."Oh, I don't even know your name", I said to her. "Liv, my name is Liv", she replied. "I'm Nathaniel", I said. We both smiled and walked up to my cabin.......and THAT'S how we met.
