Each team is allowed one IR spot. The rules for having a player on IR are as follows:
1. The player must be on the NFL IR first.
2. You must keep that player on IR all year.
3. You cannot trade or release a player on IR.
4. At the end of the super bowl, you must place the player on IR on your team roster or release him.
5. You can pick up a player that is already on the NFL's IR list and place him on your IR (if you don't already have somebody on IR).
6. Once a player is placed on IR, you can then pickup a player to fill your roster.
