Chapter 2
Once the three of us reached the bottom of the staircase I heard and felt an explosion.I knew Ellen Smith had destroyed the Arklay Inn and would soon becoming after us.These caves were swarmed by these lizzard type creatures that were like vicious hunters coming after their prey.I was running out of ammo for my glock so i armed my knife and strated wipe out those freaks.After the area was clear of monsters i rested on a rock holding my bloody arm.
"Colonel are you ok?"Kevin asked me and had a scaried look on his face.
I nodded and replied "Kev...I'm fine.Well fine as i can be with having to cope with virial zombies,monkeys,dogs,and lizzards created by an evil corporation out to get us."
I myself if i wasn't living this nightmare would have thought it was a lie if someone told me about this kind of situation.Our next move was to see if we could locate an escape route and find more clue of Umbrella's involvement.
"Ok."I stood up and addressed Kevin and Patrick. "We need to take different routes and search these catacombs if find anything of intrest radio one of us ASAP."
They agreed to plan after i ordered them to but Patrick agrued aganist the plan for while before agreeing and we seperated.I really didn't want to spilit up but since the catacombs were so wide we could cover more ground seperated.
After a while I found a document on the floor.I read the contents outloud to myself.
"July 23rd 1998.The STARS are geting closer to our ilegal activies down here.The Arklay Labs owned and operated by the Umbrella Corporation used for Bio-Organic Weapons Development via the Tyrant and G Virues can be accessed through the catacombs.I bet Umbrella founders O.Spencer,E.Ashford and J.Marcus would be proud of our work today hell even G.Trevor would be. Too bad only Spencer is alive.I'm still trying my best to finsh my work here at Arklay before X-Day is upon us and our operative in STARS A.Wesker betrays his teammates for Umbrella.They won't see it coming til he releases the Ultimate Weapon T-002 on them."
I radio my teammates and informed them of this new information but the only thing was where was this entrance.I felt a cold gun barrel on my neck then i turned around to see a woman with blonde and blue eyes in an Umbrella labcoat.
"Ellen.Doctor Smith"I said.
She keep her gun pointed at my head but from the look in her eye i didn't believe she would pull the trigger. "You must be the from STARS"She said with a very reckless tonge of hers.
"No...I'm Colonel Mike Sliver leader of the American Government Special Force Team JETS. I'm looking for Lieutenant Coen."I explained she was shocked to say the least.At least she lowered her firearm which appeared to be a Beretta model of some sort.
Ellen laughed her head off mocking me."Billy Coen is dead!! No one could despite their experience trainning survive through this hell."
"Your wrong...my people will and I will too."I shouted at her but somehow i had a feeling she was right;look at all the deaths in Raccoon City so far and this was only the prelude to Raccoon's death.
"Your so naive..it dosen't matter your about die anyways."Ellen said and raised her weapon.Then the entire Catacombs shook in series of waves.
Ellen ran without any reason she just took off but still i contiuned to look for a way out of the catacombs and into the Arklay Laboratory like the document i found said.
Then...*BEEP* *BEEP*
"Go ahead...Sliver here."I said into my radio.
"Kevin here, I found it An escape route..A Large Ventlation Shaft leading down into the lab. "Kevin said and I could tell he was ready to leave this nightmare behind and move on.
"Hold on your position.I'll grab Patrick and head your way."I said and radio Patrick then we joined Kevin in the darkest room of the Catacombs. We found him by tracing the radio singal source.We all one by one jump down the Ventlation Shaft and ended up in the Arklay lab.
After we searched the Lab we would be over with this freakin nightmare once and for all.I promised myself to never return to Raccoon City after this mission.
