Yugi is a freshmen at highschool, he lives with his grandfather. He is also the owner of the millenium puzzle. Yugi is always willing to fight for his friends and in my opinion the greatest duelist there is. Yugi becomes Yami Yugi when he taps into the power of the millennium puzzle. Yugi must fight to save his grandfathers soul from Pegasus.
Joey is a freshmen at highschool and he is best friends with Yugi. Joey fights in the Duelist Kingdom Tournament because his sister needs an operation to her from going blind. That's why he needs the prize money. Joey will also fight for the people he loves and I think he should win the Rookie Duelist of the Year award.
Seto Kaiba's parents died when he was young and has one brother, Mocuba. He is also the owner of Kaiba Corp. which is a company that makes dueling fields. Kaiba was the #1 duelist until Yugi defeated him. After that Kaiba's employees turned on him and asked Pagasus to defeat Yugi and take over Kaiba Corp. Kaiba fought to save his brother from Pagasus but failed until Yugi freed him after defeating Pagasus.
Tristan is one of yugi's friends. He is best friends with Joey who on many ossacions he saves from getting into trouble. Also during the Duelest kingdom tournament he gives joey the lava battleguard card that helps Joey defeats Rex Raptor.
Bakura is a school friend of Yugi's. You'd think their shared passion to play Duel Monsters would give them plenty to bond over, but there's just something not quite right about him. Yami Yugi is the pharoah spirit and yugi turns into yami yugi when the milliunum puzzle activates. Yami yugi is the world's greatest duelest and never loses any duels. Yami yugi shares the brain of yugi and as i send comes out when the mulliunum puzzle activates. One of the milliunum puzzles ablities is the mind crush.
maximillionpegasus is the creator of duel monsters and owns the milliunum eye. His plan for the duelest kingdom tournament is to gain all the milliunum items to bring back his wife from the dead. He is also one of the best duelset there is.
Tea Gardner is another friend of yugi. Tea is a very thoughtful person and helps when she can. In the duelest kingdom tourenament she fights Mai for Yugi's star chips.
Grandpa is yugi's grandpa. He owns this great card shop where he makes his living. Yugi's Grandpa did posses the lengedary Blue eyes white dragon until Kaiba took it and ripped it to pieces.
Mokuba Kaiba is Seto kaiba's little brother. In the duelest kingdom tournament pegasus captured him and then Pegasus steals is soul so that kaiba has to try and get it back but his soul is captured as well and then yugi manages to save grandpa's, Mokuba's and Seto's soul.
