This course will cover the following areas of Biochemistry: Nucleic Acids, Proteins, Carbohydrates, Lipids, and Acids and Bases. Our text book will be BIOCHEMISTRY by Lubert Stryer.
Having the text book is not a necessity since our lectures will be thorough. All you need is to show up for class and take good notes. We will have six exams, 100 points each, which will cover the five main topics and a final exam. I do not have any set office hours but I will make myself available anytime you need me. All you need to do is call my office and set up an appointment to see me. I will also be available immediately after lectures on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the lecture room for questions.

To prepare for class, simply download the slide presentation that I've uploaded for each lecture, fomat in Power Point and print. Please bring the hard copy to class.
Should difficulties arise during the semester that will detract you from your studies, please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate you and help you finish the course. My goal is to teach you and work with you such that you will successfully finish this course. Your desire to excel and my willingness to help should ensure great success for you in this class.
