Well, I'm the dad and there isn't a lot to say about me! I have been a
single parent for about 13 years and have honestly enjoyed every minute
of it. Raising my two children had it's ups and downs, but for the most
part, it has been very pleasurable. If you would like to know more about
me, just
view my profile.
Nick is my oldest child. I use the word "child" loosely as Nick turned
19 this past March 4th! Nick and two of his friends have recently rented
a house and are getting a taste of what it is like in the real world! I
have been worried (for 19 years) and not looking forward to the day when
Nick moved out; I can now say it isn't as bad as I had thought; life
goes on and as they say, "you can't keep them forever". There are
many tales to tell about Nick, if you would like to hear them,
follow this link!
Candy and I seem to grow closer and closer every day. She
will be 17 on her next birthday, July 13th. While we have had our
problems and issues with each other, we have maintained a close
father-daughter relationship. There is no doubt that Candy will be
involved in helping people in some fashion when she chooses her
occupation. Either in the form of childcare, teaching or even in the
medical field. Candy is like a mom to many of the children that she has
watched over. There is a lot to say about Candy, as well as the children
who's lives she has touched over the years;
please have a look at some of the fun she has.
I have never understood people who have pets that they
treat better than most people treat their own children. I have never
understood that, until Reggie came into our lives. Reggie is a
party colored (brown & white) Shi Tzu. I now know why people
treat certain pets better than their own kids; because the pet is
better behaved than most kids are! Reggie was a gift to Nick and Candy
from their mom in Christmas 1995 (I think). He was 6 weeks old and
actually lived in a BOX in our house for the first year or so. I
attribute his almost flawless house training to that. We were
told they will not relieve themselves where they sleep. As long
as they are taken out on a regular basis and put back in the box. He
graduated from a small box, to a box that was 30 by 60 inches, then he
was free! Many tales to tell about Reggie too!
