Message Board Unofficial Guidelines.
Been a while since I wrote anything for this site, as I've been extremely busy with other things, but here's a few unofficial guidelines that you should attempt to follow when posting on the board.
Official Rules and Regulations.
This is an outtake from the Realms of Kaos Terms of Service, a little bit of
Bold added by myself to emphasize on certain things.
Message Board Rules:Slanderous, obscene, vulgar or offensive material will not be tolerated under ANY circumstances. Determination of what is offensive is at the discretion of the moderator.

Unofficial Guidelines.
These guidelines are not set down by the Realms of Kaos Management, most are just common courtesies
Grammar.
This isn't a big problem, and not everyone can spell perfect. But if we can't read what you say, it's hard to respond properly. Try to at least make your posts readable.
Respect your fellows.
Respect is mutual. Respect others, and others will most likely respect you. If you come onto the message board and start flaming and causing trouble for no reason whatsoever, I will personally see to it that your message board life is a miserable one. :)
Flaming.
Okay, sometimes criticism can be good, when it's well thought out and put on the page in a respectable manner. On the other hand, cheap one liners that have no thought put into them are bad, and will get you owned, most likely by me because I strive to pick on idiots that don't think of what they're saying.
Cursing.
Simply put, if you can't express yourself without every second word being filtered out, you don't belong on the message board.
Bumping, or "Topping'.
This is allowed on the message board (don't ask me why...), but it can be very annoying. (Topping is when you reply to a post with the intention of bumping it up the list to the top.)
Posting in the wrong forum.
This seems to get people upset a lot, so to avoid getting flamed make sure the forum you're posting is in the appropriate one for your subject, if it doesn't belong in one of the main forums, it most likely belongs in Unrelated Topics.
Buying and Selling
A lot of buying and selling is done on the message board, and the Trollheim Trader is a very hectic forum. Here is a few guidelines for making your posts.
BandwidthBuying:
When buying an item, or character, or whatever make sure to include as many details as possible. When buying a character make sure to state the Race, Class, Stats, Gender, and Divinity that you're looking for, if looking for a new roll make sure to state the Name, Race, Stats, Class, Divinity, Gender and Picture.
Selling:
For better results ALWAYS make sure that your selling post is clearly stating all of the below.
Characters/Rolls:
Name
Gender
Race
Stats
Class
Div
Level and/or Current Experience.
Equipment (If applicable)
Any bugs (Such as the prof bug) or other problems with the character.
Name-Changeable: This indicates whether or not it has had it's name changed at the Charters Guild
Picture-Changable: All characters created before the Beta update were given the option to change their picture when Beta was released, this indicates if the character still has the option.
Items:
There isn't much to selling items, just make sure to state which enchantment it has (dull, soft, bright, brilliant) and how much AC it gives if it's an armor. If it's not a weapon or armor make sure to state it's use (if you know it).
Note: Buying and/or selling items for out of game currency is NOT allowed on the message board, doing so will result in your post being deleted and possibly you being punished.
You'll see the term "WoB" around a lot most likely, this refers to "Waste of Bandwidth" and usually means your post is, at least in said persons opinion. Please refrain from posting useless junk on the boards, humorous materiel can be posted in the Unrelated Topics forum most of the time. DungeonMaster has to pay for the message boards, and excessive bandwidth usage means that the boards may be shut down until the month is overto avoid over-usage fees. This HAS happened on multiple occasions.
The Clan Forum.
Ah, yes the clan forum. A wondrous place where many a clan has sprouted from, and many arguments as well. Posting useless logs of clans running, or clans doing stupid things just makes you look bad, and bitter. Don't do it, it's a waste of space and we don't want to see it. If you have a problem with a clan, take it to their leaders in game or via e-mail. Respect other clan's posts, don't post on them flaming them or their members. If you have a beef with them, kill them in game or something. Oh, on another note, anyone whines about Valor and I remove your testicles with a spoon, Whining about Valor posts are so two months ago =P
If you want a good role-model, take Lily, she's an angel. =p, If you want a
bad example, take me, Cal, I'm a bastard and break half of the rules =P
And now, without further adieu, here is the Realms
of Kaos Message Board and here is the Realms
of Kaos Message Board FAQ. I suggest you read the FAQ, and These Terms
of Service one more time just incase.

anything else that should be here.
