Adaptations: Something that helps an animal live in its habitat. A fish has gills so it can live in water. Its gills are an adaptation. If you wear glasses they help you live in your home. They are an adaptation.
Diet: What an animal eats.
Forest: A forest is a place with a lot of trees.
Habitat: Where an animal lives.
Herbivore: An animal that does not eat meat. Herbivores eat grass, leaves or other plant parts.
Plain: A flat grassy area with some trees. There are not as many trees as in a forest.
