Small amount of news. Nothing special, really. I have booked and paid for my flights - using Air New Zealand to get to LAX, then United to Orlando. After Nimbus, I'm booked in for, but not yet paid for a Contiki tour, winding up the east coast, into Georgia, North Carolina, Maryland, New Jersey, and then New York, where I'll be taking another Contiki tour around NY, before flying United back to LAX, then Air NZ home.
I'll leave here at 9:30am Monday, Melbourne time, and arrive 8:30pm, Monday, Florida time. However, that is a grand total of 25 hours travelling time, including stopovers, of which I have several, including 1hr 15min in Auckland, and 3hr 45min in LA. I'm told by my lovely travel agant Karen that this is not only normal, it's required, because LAX can e very slow checking in. This works out to leaving Melbourne at 9:30am Monday, and arriving in LA at 9:15am Monday. It's just like using a Time Turner!! I don't know how my 'sleep' reflex is going to cope... Oh, who's
gonna need sleep? On the way home, it's United NY-LAX, then Air NZ home, but with a seven hour stopover in Auckland. But hey, cool, cause breakfast in America, lunch in New Zealand, dinner in Australia. How groovy is that?, but you know, three meals, three
days! I basically lose Saturday in the air. I leave NY Friday afternoon, get into LA at 8:45pm their time, then leave LA at 11:30pm Friday, before flying 12 hours 45 mins to arrive in Auckland at 7:15am Sunday. That's very odd, but reallly cool. And you can tell how excited I am by how many times I'm using the word 'cool.' When I get in tonight, I'm going to look up the cost of a Livejournal subscription, simply to make it easier on myself updating this on tour. When I have those details, if any, I will
most certainly post them here. But for now, I should get back to work. Ten Pay Days Left!
