Hey, guys, I'm back. Not much to say today. I went to Liam's 21st last night and was talking to Karen, one of his mum's friends. She was telling me that I HAVE to visit New York, that I would love it to bits. At times, I am absolutely terrified about this whole trip - like I'll just get to the airport and freeze - but other times - when I'm doing this or planning bus routes or whatever - I'm so thrilled that I can barely sit still. My big decision now is whether to quit work or just take a couple of months off. I like the security of it just being a holiday, but honestly, when I come back I don't think I'm going to want to go back to being a 'fax girl'. I'm thinking events management is where I should go. Those of you who watched me freak out over deb balls and formals and golf days (never again, Ursz!) will just crack up laughing, but really, organising things is just what I seem to be best at.
But this is completely off topic, and so I will get back to topic. If I get a hostel membership, I can get cheap accomodation. Greyhound buses can get me round the US and Canada cheaply. I have a dicount card which will get me into a luxury hotel half-price if I need to lash out. I will have $10 000 saved. Plus, as an emergency, I have seven or eight in my term deposit. I'm getting passport photos tommorrow, and a passport interview on Monday. Also on monday, I will email the US and Canadian embassies to make sure I don't need a visa. And visa-free, this gives me six months to jaunt around North America. I may even manage to do this with a minimum of clothes. Or probably not, and I will come back sore and bruised from carrying around party shoes I'll never wear.

Lunch is calling!

Go home!
