Well, this is the first part. the planning and waiting. As most of you know, I'm on my way to Orlando, Florida, to take part in (and help run!) the first Harry Potter Symposium - Nimbus 2003. I've created this section of my website - Miss America - to help me keep in touch with you all, as I will most definitely not have time to email everyone everyday.
Currently, it's the 6th of February, and I leave for America in approximately 20 weeks. I'm busily working and saving and trying desperately to work out a suitable itinerary, because, God knows, I cannot leave here without knowing exactly what is going on.
At the moment, it looks as if I'll be flying Melbourne to New York, NY to Orlando, Disneyworld for seven nights (whoo and hoo!), Orlando to New Orleans by bus, New Orleans to Chicago, by bus (maybe - it looks a long one), then Chicago back to NY. From there I'm hoping to get to Canada, and hopefully into a work/study program, maybe something in journalism or PR. Because it's near impossible to do it in Australia, as I've whinged hundreds of times to you all.
So this little site will keep you updated on all my doings, both before, during and after my trip. I promise to update as regularly as I can, I promise to email you all when I can, and send lots of postcards. For those of you reading this in the States, I will get there, I promise, and I will be bringing Tim Tams - little chocolatety nuggets of heaven that they are.
