Okay, so it's been a while. But I haven't wanted to make any plans
while this damn war has been going on. And even now, while the politicians
are announcing it as over, I'm still not comfortable with the thought
of a long stay in the States.
Also, I'm beginning to get a bit concerned out the money. I mean, ten
grand is a hell of a lot to spend on a holiday. think of the stuff I
could get with that money. A laptop. Bond and furniture on a flat. Part of
a deposit for a unit. A new car.
But I haven't entirely given up on Nimbus. I still desperately want to
go. And I can't give up on cheap rates at a five star Disney hotel.
That's insane.
So how's this for a new plan. A three week holiday in Orlando, complete
with HP academic convention and scholarly learning program, all very
serious and literary, :), and then home to a brand new laptop computer,
with CD-RW and DVD drive.
And then I'll get very serious about writing something worthwhile, and
about an actual career. Maybe a TAFE course in event management.
I mean, I've wanted my own computer for ages now, it seems silly to use
all that money on something I can't keep.
And, being honest, I'm getting kind of nervous, as well.
I just don't know if I can do it. I'd love to, but what with wars and
killer flus and everything else awful in world, I don't really know if I
want to be away from home for that long.
So perhaps a short trip and a shopping trip is the way to go. Also,
it's getting really close, and I don't know if I can organise a two month
trip in practically two and a half months. Three weeks, I can do.
But it's getting close to the end of the day before Easter, so I will
email this home and finish updating my plans later.
