Biography
As
of 2001, this 24 year old has accomplished what many dream of. Sascha
Radetsky born in 1977 in Sant Cruz, California is one of the well
acclaimed ballet dancers for the corps de ballet with the American
Ballet Theatre. He joined ABT in 1996 becoming their representative
in the prestigious Princess Grace Awards for Dance competition and
has scored leading roles in "Bruch Violin Concerto," "La
Bayadere," "Swan Lake," "Don Quixote," "The
Snow Maiden," "Drink to Me Only With Thine Eyes," "Push
Comes to Shove," "Le Corsaire" and "Romeo and
Juliet."
He
became fascinated with the arts when his older sister started taking
dance classes and he saw the male dancers doing big jumps and turns.
From there he began studying ballet in the San Francisco Bay Area.
At
the tender age of 15, he was invited to study in Moscow at the Bolshoi
Academy. After a year in Moscow,he continued working and toured throughout
the US and internationally. Radetsky has appeared in commercials,
as well as in starring roles in the PBS movie "Home at Last",
on the NBC television series "Midnight Caller" and his latest
achievement in the teen flick "Center Stage" as the cute
guy friend, Charlie. Sascha has achieved being an actor, model and
dancer in demand.
