Chapter 5

Brian is the first one ready and he seeks the golden opportunity to talk to Nick about the incident with Kevin earlier. He reaches Nick's door and quickly knocks and goes in. "Hey Nick" Brian says as he enters the room.

"Hey Brian. Are you ready?" Nick says.

"Yeah. I'm curious to see what happens tonight" Brian says.

“Me too. I'm digging Chelle" Nick says.

"yeah, frack I think we've all picked up on that one, but her friend Sherry seemed pretty cool" Brian answered back and added.   “I am hoping to talk with her more tonight.

Yeah. I saw you checking her out. well, I think this luau will be our best chance to spend time with these girls, Chelle really seems like she's a lot of fun not to mention hot" Nick replied

 "Oh, Nick...you're a goner already" Brian said

"naah man, I like her but I've only just met her" Nick answered back

 "You couldn't keep your eyes off her" Brian said.

"oh, that reminds me we need to hurry there's no telling how many other guys may have their eyes on her too" Nick said.

"Well, Nick, what do you think about Kevin?" Brian asked.

"Man, Frick, I don't know. Something is really bothering him" Nick said.

"maybe I should talk with him," Brian said with a worried look.

"I don't know. Do you think he'll open up to you?" Nick asked.

"I'm his cousin, if he doesn’t open up with me I don’t know what else to do", Brian answered back.

Well, good luck. It doesn't seem like he wants to talk to anyone about it" Nick said.

"Come on, guys. Let's go" AJ yelled.

"AJ, what are you wearing?' Nick asked with a laugh.

"Look. I'm wearing jeans and a pink Hawaiian shirt, you twit" AJ said laughing while he's messing up Nick's hair.

"Come on, J. Stop it" Nick yelled.

Just then, Howie walked in and said, "Hey guys. What are you doing still getting ready? Come on. Get your butts in gear
we don’t want to keep the ladies waiting, do we?"  
At that same time, Kevin appeared behind Howie. And the guys were on their way to meet back up with girls at the lounge.

Chelle, I think you've had enough" Shawn said and she saw Chelle heading back for another drink.

"Not again, Shawn. Come on, lighten up a little, huh?" Chelle said and continued, " I've been working non stop for the past several months I think I deserve a little break here".

"Alright you two. Stop it. Shawn, Chelle is right. Let her have her fun for tonight.  Chelle, just don't get too wasted. Shawn is only looking out for you." Tanya said.

Chelle walked back to the bar, knowing that Tanya was right, but she wanted to have fun for once which was something that she hasn‘t done in a long time.

Chelle sat at the bar waiting patiently for the bartender. Just then, a handsome man came and sat down next to her.  “Hello there, what's your name? the stranger asked.

 "To you, my name is Ms. Pina Colada“, Chelle replied sarcastically.

"Well, Ms. Pina Colada, my name is Mr. Sex on the Beach." The stranger fired back.

“Here ya go Chelle, another pina colada like you requested' the bartender said.

"hey Jerry, put that drink on my bill" the stranger said. He then turned to Chelle and asked, "So, Chelle it is, huh?"

"who the hell asked you to do that" Chelle shouted.

"Whoa, babe. Calm down. I was just trying to be friendly here" the stranger said as he placed his hand on Chelle's shoulder and decided to move a little closer.

“Look asshole, what the hell do you think you're doing? I didn’t come here to be bothered, so please take the hint okay, bye” Chelle said while throwing his hand off.

"Ok. Ok.. I see how you are.  Are you always this much of a tease" said the stranger hoping to get Chelle to take some notice in him.

"Hey man, I think she's asked you to leave her alone enough times now" another voice replied behind the stranger.

Chelle turned around to see whom the voice that she had heard belonged to. It was Nick. When she saw him, her face lit up.

"come on Chelle, the others are waiting" Nick said while taking her hand and leading her away from the stranger.

“thanks Nick” chelle said gratefully.

“you’re welcome, I”m just glad I showed up when I did.  Looks as if that guy didn’t understand what no meant”  Nick replied back.
"well, I can assure you he was about to get a complete lesson if you didn't show up" Chelle said with confidence.

Ya know, for some reason you looked like you needed help." Nick said.

"I could of helped myself if I was sober but like a stupid idiot I didn't listen to Shawn and I got myself tipsy but don't tell Shawn that I said that” Chelle confessed.

"ok I won't." Nick said with a laugh.
When Nick and Chelle met up with the others still hand in hand, they immediately started questioning what happened.


“Damn Chelle, I thought you were about to practice your self defense lesson on that guy there" Tanya said.

"I was considering on it that's for sure" chelle answered back.

“Damn woman we can‘t leave you alone too long without stirring trouble now can we”  AJ kidded.

“ooh, love your shirt there AJ” Chelle teased back giggling.

"See, I knew you had too much to drink", Shawn added in."

"Shawn, don't even go there. Where are Sherry and Carmen?" Chelle said looking around.

“we’re here” Sherry and Carmen answered in unison.  When Carmen walked up next to AJ. He couldn’t help but look her up and down whistling the whole time.

“wow, you look amazing” AJ replied.

“yeah you do too Sherry” Brian added in.

“thanks, Brian” Sherry answered bashfully.

well alright, everyone is here so let's hit the luau" AJ said with a big smile.

"yep let's go!" The group agreed.

Nick and Chelle walked behind everyone.

See why I didn't want to admit it to Shawn." Chelle told Nick quietly
"Yeah she kind of reminds me of Kevin." Nick said
.
"Shawn's the momma of our group. She watches out for everyone. She means well but sometimes she can get annoying." Chelle added.

Kevin's the same way. He's the "Daddy" of our group." Nick said.

"Hey does he have a girlfriend maybe we can get them together." Chelle said .
"Hey what are you two laughing about?" A.J. asked dropping back so he could talk to Nick and Chelle laughing.

"That bright ass shirt you're wearing there AJ" Chelle said as her and Nick bursted out laughing...
"Funny, Ms. Smarty pants." A.J. said.
"You wanted to know." Nick said.
I think I'll go back up to Carmen where I know I'm appreciated." A.J. whined.
"Oh poor baby." Chelle said as her and Nick laughed even harder.
A.J. walked back up by the rest of them but had a hurt look on his face.

~~~~~~~~~~~Tattoo and Mr. Roark out of sight of the girls and the guys~~


"Ah Mr. Roark, looks like the romances have begun" Tattoo said looking down from the balcony above the lounge.

"Yes, tattoo I believe this night will be filled with a few surprises for our young friends" Mr. Roark answered.

"mr. roark, are these surprises good surprises" Tattoo asked.

"well my friend, I believe the beginning of the journey for each guest has officially begun so we shall see what is in store for them" Mr. Roark replied.
"It appears that the group has branched off into specific couples, boss" tattoo said.

“Just remember my friend that fate has brought each couple together for a reason and it is up to them how their fate will play out” Mr. Roark commented.

"well sir, I hope that happiness finds each of these couples. They all seem so nice. Tattoo added.

"We'll see. We'll see" Mr. Roark says as he and tattoo walk back inside the resort.
