SAVE ELTON

We want our ETV!!! Let's let those in charge at General Hospital and ABC Daytime know we want to see more of Loren Freeman as the incredible Elton Herbert!

SAVE ELTON!!! I WANT MY E! TV!!!

Elton Herbert (portrayed by Loren Freeman) is a great character that Loren loves to portray! Elton's airtime is determined largely by the amount of fan mail he receives. That's where YOU come in!!! There IS something you can do about it!

First, write Loren Freeman at:

General Hospital c/o ABC-TV 4151 Prospect Avenue Hollywood, CA 90027

Not only would Loren love to hear from you, but the popularity of characters is largely determined by the amount of mail the actor receives and the comments on the ABC comment line. In light of national security concerns, please use postcards for the time being and have a return address on them, to ensure their delivery.

Next, write the powers that be at ABC Daytime. Again, please use postcards with a return address to ensure their delivery. Here are their addresses:

Jill Farren Phelps, Executive Producer
Megan McTavish, Head Writer
Mary O'Leary, Carol Scott, Lisa Levenson, Producers
Angela Shapiro, President, ABC Daytime
Felicia Mini Behr

General Hospital c/o ABC-TV 4151 Prospect Avenue Hollywood, CA 90027

Be sure to be positive in your letter. Don’t make remarks like “GH is a piece of trash since Loren hasn’t been on”, etc. These types of letters DEFINITELY do not work.

Instead, say something like this:

“I am writing because I greatly enjoy the character of Elton Herbert, as portrayed by Loren Freeman. Elton is a wonderful addition to the GH canvas, and I miss seeing him on the program. I very much enjoy the levity and humor Elton brings to the show, and Loren’s incredible sense of comic timing and ability to ad-lib. I would love it if Loren could be on contract and be a permanent, and wonderful, addition to the GH family.”

Keep it short, simple, and to the point. Ideally, your letter should be no more than two pages long.

Call the comment line at Comment line (voicemail): (310) 557-4583 (Los Angeles area code). The interest in a character is also directly monitored by the number of comments that are received.

DON’T send e-mails to the powers that be at ABC. These are rarely read and largely ignored. Both snail mail and comments on the comment line are best, most effective way to go.

Spread the word and be persistent! Your comments, time and effort DO make a difference. Loren greatly appreciates your time and interest!
