Kristin Hale gets a leg up
On her music career!

Sometimes things happen for a reason. “Every Sunday morning, I would wake up to my mother playing the piano as we prepared to go to church. She was the church pianist for 15 years, and my dad is a wonderful tenor soloist. Even my brother played the saxophone so you had to know my life was musically oriented from the beginning,” the bright eyed and beautiful blonde-headed teen said in a recent interview. You might say that she had “leg up on her music career” considering the amount of music that surrounded her as a child.

“At night, instead of reading to me, my parents would sing to me. I truly believe that is what developed my love for music.” I am a fun, laid back kind of girl in a ‘go-get-it sorta’ way,” Kristin says. Her musical influences run the gamut of genres like Celine Dion, Garth Brooks, Reba, Trisha Yearwood and Martina McBride. Having achieved one of the great moments in her life by singing with her high school choir at the 2001 Presidential Inauguration for President Bush, Kristin is now ready to tackle anything that the music career has to offer.

In the spring of 2002, Kristin recorded a presentation CD in Nashville under the direction of producer, Robert Metzgar, and Platinum Plus Records. That summer, she worked in Nashville, promoting both her CD and her single, 'Useless', which was released on CDX volume 302. It later was included on several country karaoke volumes sold across the country.

In the fall of this year (2003), Kristin will resume her studies as a junior at the University of Louisville, majoring in Vocal Performance. In July of 2003, she had the wonderful opportunity to participate with one of her choral groups, the Cardinal Singers, in the 3rd International Johannes Brahms Choir Festival and Competition in Wernigerode, Germany. There, they placed third in their Chamber Music category, and they won the Gospel/Spiritual category. A huge congratulations on a job well-done to both the Cardinal Singers and their conductor, Dr. Kent E. Hatteberg!

Watch for future information regarding news on this versatile young singer. Updates will be made available as Kristin makes her way in the music world.
