A YEAR IN THE LIFE OF THE MIZUNOS (2003) Another year is coming to an end and we look back at all the events that will give us memories for a long time. Time speeds by and we try to keep up. This was the year that our youngest graduated from High School. Tabitha left with a perfect record of Great Distinctions throughout her high school years. We are very proud of her and the way she continues to apply herself. She is now attending the Uof S taking her first year of pre-med. She is trying to adjust to a very different life and sometimes finds it a bit frustrating but does well anyways. Massey’s parents came all the way from Japan to attend Tabitha’s grad. It was a wonderful celebration and we sure enjoyed having them with us for a whole month. We flew them out to Niagra Falls for a few days. Massey’s Dad had always promised Mom he would take her there for their honeymoon, since they didn’t really have a honeymoon when they first got married. The rest of the time they were with us in Saskatoon. We spent a lot of time just talking with them and got to know them better. They really enjoyed their grandkids. We sure wish we could spend more time with them. Massey has continued to be busy with work and of the business. Things have gotten more and more profitable and of course that means more time is needed to keep up. We also bought a revenue home and we are building a basement suite in it. That has required a lot of our time. We are feeling like we are getting to old to be doing it, but the challenge was too much for us to ignore. Michael and Regan are still in Denver, Colorado. They both work as Engineers. Busy and trying to settle down into their own life. No grandchildren from them yet. They will be coming home for Christmas and it will be good to see them. Usually we go down to see them, but this year we seem to have run out of time. Tim is still living in Saskatoon. He is enrolled in the College of Commerce at the U of S. He is doing well and enjoying school. His girlfriend Tanya, is also a student. She is finishing up a degree in social work. But she wants to continue studying but in the college of law. Oh well, looks like they have a ways to go. They are hoping to get married soon. Tim’s daughter Kamryn is now 6 years old. She’s a smart little one. She enjoys learning to read and she is a good artist. We love her to pieces. I continue to carry out my duties as a domestic engineer and help out in our business. This Sept. I went to Holland with a friend of mine. We spent 3 weeks doing a bike tour of Holland. It was a trip of a lifetime. We saw so many historical places and buildings. Next time I think I’ll take Massey with me because I know he would enjoy a trip like this. We want to wish you all a Wonderful Christmas and the best of the New Year.
