If You Ever Leave Me
By Janice Marie
All the stars in the sky will go dim
The moon will cease to shine its light
There will be no sun coming up in the morn
My heart from me will be torn
All the flowers in the world will wither and die
The weeping willows will bend down and cry
All the creatures in the forest will scamper away
There will be no more animals to come and play
My life as I know it will cease to exist
There is no other I will miss
There will be no today or tomorrow
There will only be unrelenting sorrow
My mind will turn inside out
I will crawl into myself
Even though I want to scream and shout
Trying to ease the pain deep in this fragile heart
Lost like a ship at sea I will lisp and sink
Beneath the encompassing waves
No more will my mind have to think
There will be nothing left of me to save
