"Seriously I started last year when I came back [from the States], I was launched in 1996--Star Circle batch 3, but then again I wasn’t really serious then, so it was clear to them, because I was going to the States, mainly because of my mom, then my visa. So I went for the States, I stayed there for a year, after six months, I told my mom, I’ll just try it out here, coz acting has been my passion since I was a child. It’s been my dream to be an actor, not just a showbiz actor-- -a stage actor." When I was in the States, I’m not planning to come back anymore but then again ahm, last year, last July, a friend of mine Joji, who later became my manager asked me and he really pursued me to come back to show business--in Manila, so I said ‘sige’. After how many months, after how many weeks I told my mom. I said, ‘mom I’m serious-- I’m 21, I think I wanna do what I think is the best for me.' So that’s the time that I decided to come back and pursue a more serious career here. When I came back last August [1998] I started with Sa Sandaling Kailangan Mo Ako, that paved the way for me and from that time on I’ve been doing shows and movies."

His remarkable performance in the said drama series, led to another interesting character role [as Bryan] in the top-rated Esperanza. As Bryan, he played the role of a private detective who eventually became the love interest of Esperanza [Ms. judy Anne Santos]. In those two powerful TV shows, Piolo delivered intense acting. People from different walks of life, simply admired him. His launching movie,Lagarista [the person who delivers movie reels in different theaters here in the Philippines] tackles the sexual awakening of a boy and the metaphors of filmmaking.

:. Piolo's Bio

This best dramatic actor nominee in the 1999 Asian TV Awards is actually a very rational young man who hardly has time to go bar-hopping, everyday I work, if not taping, shooting -- so I don’t have time to have fun. Yeah, for me you know, I prefer that, because in that way I can save my money." He wanted to save for the future so that he can give his family a comfortable life. Away from the set, this uprising actor loves playing billiards with his friends and going to the mall with his family, "I always bring them to the mall, especially my nieces and my nephews, wala, I just bring them around, drive-through, kasi I love my nieces and my nephews." Although he prefers to live in the now and not plan about the future, he dreams of becoming a Broadway star. Who knows? At the rate of how things are going with his career plus his good attitude towards his chosen craft, Piolo Pascual can have a movie career in Hollywood.
