The sound on the main page is from a real player video I got from here of Hans Conried hosting Fractured Flickers. The whole sound is here where he says, "This is Hans Conried saying goodnight for Fractured Flickers, and leaving you with just this one question - how do I get out of this little circle?" One of my friends thinks it should be slowed down, so if anyone knows where I can get a time machine to ask Mr. Conried to speak slower, please don't hesitate to contact me.
~I am currently making sounds from his interview with Roddy McDowell, which will be up soon. For now, please view the actual interview at this location.
Of course he did many radio shows, and one in particular that I have every episode of contains him as well as also the talented Mel Blanc. I'm talking of course about the Colgate Tooth Powder sponsored "The Mel Blanc Show." His characters there included Mr. Cushing aka "Mighty Potentate" of the loyal order of Zebras, where their not-so secret code was "Ugga ugga boo ugga boo boo ugga" - who always complained about his wife; Snoops the mailman who lived up to his name; and as the other actors had done, many miscellaneous voices where needed.
~When the opportunity arises, the sounds made from the various radio shows he has done will be uploaded. For now, check the list of the radio shows I know he was in.
And obviously, who can forget Broadway? (For those of you who do not know the webmaster, she happens to live on Broadway, and could never forget it!) Ahh yes, Hans Conried the triple threat: he acts, he dances, he sings. Yes you read that right, he sings. Along with character acting, his voice also executes rather well eloquted songs with great ease, or at least it seems that way. He did so in the 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T and also on Broadway with Can-Can and 70, Girls, 70. Right now I'm only listing the songs, clips are soon to come. Both musicals are on CD at your local retailer, or perhaps someone will sell them on eBay.
~ The songs he featured in for Can-Can are as follows:
*Come Along With Me
*If You Loved Me
*Never, Never Be An Artist
~ And in 70, Girls, 70 the songs he featured in:
*Old Folks
*Home
*The Caper (much like any of Danny Kaye's tongue twister songs)
*Hit it, Lorraine
*Boom Ditty Boom
*Believe
*70, Girls, 70
*Yes
*The Finale
Well my guess is you would also like some quotes from movies and television shows. On Screen-the Hans you can see, right? I am doing my best to have at least one quote from each of his movies, or at least each of them that I have seen and own, but so far I have only Dr. Terwilliker sounds. Enjoy them here and check back as I restock the warehouse, so to speak.
