***Matt***

Ashley ran after Mary-Kate, I'm guessing for one of those sister to sister talks.

Brett looked around at us. He paced around and looked like he wanted to destroy something really badly. I know him as a very patient guy, and right now his patience was being pushed to the limit.

"I wish I had a car cause I REALLY need to go for a drive." He said.

"Calm down Brett. It's been a long day and we're all tired. I know it's hard but you need to keep in control. When we go back to LA, there will be no breaks and we will need to stay focused despite what goes on." Marc-Andre said to Brett.

He nodded. "You're right. I need to calm down." He said taking deep breaths and walking around the room.

***Ashley***

That must have been the worst argument Brett and Mary-Kate ever had. Usually they just tease each other but this was a true argument! I ran outside and found Mary-Kate sitting under a tree.

"Hey" I said quietly going and sitting next to her. "You ok?"

She sniffed and shook her head "I hate him"

"Aw, Mary-Kate no you don't"

"I do! Why does he have to be like this. He's always so dam pig headed!" she said angrily.

"Cause he cares about you"

She didn't say anything after that and we just sat there in silence.

I saw Brett walk out of our apartment building with Marc-Andre and Matt on the way to their apartment next door. He saw us sitting under the tree and looked at Mary-Kate. I saw her turn her head away out of the corner of my eye. Brett just sighed and kept on walking. I blew Matt a kiss good night and waved to Marc-Andre.

This wasn't going to be easy to fix.

"Are you going to talk to him?" I asked her

"No"

"Ok then" I said rather annoyed at her for it "Lets go back to our room then. We got up and did so...

The next morning was the guys last day

***Brett***

I spent another rotten night. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get to sleep. Today was our last day before being shipped out to Los Angeles. The days are so long and so hard. Maybe I'll be lucky and some enemy will put me out of my misery... NO! I can't think like that. Even if Mary-Kate won't speak to me, I still need to protect her and Ashley.

Marc-Andre walked in and Matt did too a minute after. "Well guys, we ship out tomorrow." Marc-Andre said.

"Hey, Brett." Marc-Andre said. "Maybe you should try to fix things between you and Mary-Kate." He suggested.

"Oh no, not this time." I said, "I'm giving up. Everytime we make friends, we get into another argument!" I got up and walked to the fridge.

"A lot has happened in the past few days..." Matt started.

"Exactly!" I said, spinning around. "And I don't need constant arguments to be added to the list!" I went and got my shoes on.

"Where are you going?" Marc-Andre asked.

"I'm going out for a walk to clear my head." I said as I walked out the door.

***Mary-Kate***

Ugh! I didn't sleep for even a minute last night and I'm so tired. I decided to go for a walk. Hoping to just wake myself up.

I was walking down the street when I spotted a familiar figure walking toward me.

Brett.

I was gonna go back to the apartment. But why should I? I have just as much of a right to walk down the street. But, forget talking to him! He was so pigheaded last night!

I continued down the street pointedly looking in the other direction.

***Brett***

Oh great, just what I didn't need. There was Mary-Kate walking in my direction. She just passed the last corner between us so I have to walk past her. Whatever, I've given up anyways. I'll just stare at the ground as I walk past her like I don't even know her.

I continued walking and was soon side by side with her, only going in different directions. We both looked at the ground as we passed. Well, I feel really mature now!

***Marc-Andre***

I stood on the hilltop watching two best friends totally ignore each other. Today was our last day, so I decided it was definitely time for a talk.

"Mary-Kate! Brett" I called waving at them "Come over here!"

They both came up to me without looking at eachother. This was getting annoying and ridiculous and it was time they both realized it.

"Look you two, this is the last day we will all be together for a while. Although I hate to think about it, it might be the last time." I said, trying to banish the thought from my mind. "Don't you think this foolishness should stop? You've been friends for so long and have been through so much together that you can't end up like this."

I paused for a breath and saw Brett open his mouth to speak. He looked rather annoyed. Uh-oh!

"I've tried to be nice, I've tried to be understanding but it's getting to be too much. It's like anything I do she gets mad at me for. She gets mad when I enlist, she gets mad when I try to look out for her and she gets mad when I ask who a guy is that gives her a rose on the day after they met! I'm only looking out for her best interests here. Sometimes I wonder why I try!" He said angrily

Mary-Kate had an outraged look of shock and anger on her face "Forget it then! Don't try! I don't need you! I don't want you! I don't know why I even bothered liking you! You're a pathetic quitter!" She whirled around causing Brett to duck to avoid her hair. She was going to storm off but I grabbed her by the shoulder and held her back.

"Good we're getting some feelings out. Continue"

They both glared at each other then glared at me.

The things I do for friends...
