"Hey" She said smiling "What's up?"
"Well, I was wondering if you'd like a partner for next months dance competition?"
"WHAT?" She screamed almost dropping the phone.
"Well, I figure it's time to put the past in the past. So are you interested?"
"I...DEFINITELY!" She said still in shock.

A month later. At the dance competition.
"Man, I am soooo nervous!" Ashley said.
"Don't be. We'll do fine"
"How can you be so sure?"
"Cause this competition you have me" he joked
"Yeah" She said seriously
The two who had been dancing finished and their scores were read out.
"I'm so glad we worked everything out. I don't know what would have happened if you hadn't called me" David said.
"Called you?"
"Yeah, remember we went to McDonalds? I know you said not to bring it up but,.."
Their names were read out so their was no time to further discuss it.
"Well, this is it" David said and led the puzzled Ashley out onto the dance floor. Not sensing her uneasiness.
The music started and they began to dance.
"What did he mean? Ashley glanced out at the audience and saw her sister. Mary-Kate! What happened? She was so pre-occupied with her thoughts that she missed a step.
And fell.
