"So...how was it?" Mary-Kate asked as soon as Ashley got home that night.

"Great" Ashley said with little enthusiasm "he's a great dancer"

"I didn't know he could dance"

"Me either. He totally freaked out when I asked him about it" Ashley said starting to cry.

"Oh, Ashley" Mary-Kate said hugging her

The next day.

"Hello?" Ashley said answering the phone.

"Are you mad at me?"

" David?" She asked recognizing his voice "What maks you think I'm mad at you?" She said with a tinge of sarcasm

"Maybe cause when I tried to kiss you last night you ran away from me like I was on fire!" He said frustratedly.

"Oh, sorry about that. I had to go watch Sylvestor and Tweety." She said. The sarcasm still there.

"You don't like Sylvester and Tweety. And anyway, your TV's in the repair shop!"

"You're right" Ashley interrupted "And I just remembered I'm supposed to go pick it up. Bye David"

"Ashley! Wait-"

Click.

She hung up the phone.

"Wow, that's really working out your problems" Mary-Kate observed walking into the room.

"I don't want to talk to him" Ashley said simply, and left the room.

Mary-Kate watched her leave. Sure Ashley had aright to be mad. But, was it really worth wrecking a potentially great relationship over? She turned back to the phone, then glanced at the door Ashley had just exited through. She picked up the phone.
