"Every other movie too" Mark said shaking his head "Guess everyone else had the same idea we did"
Sarah sighed "What do we do now?"
Mara suddenly sat up straight "Tears are playing in the park today!" She said happily "I just remembered! It's free! We could go to that"
Tears were a small local group. Their music was kind of a cross between Marilyn Manson and Linkin Park. NOT my kind of music.
I wrinkled my nose and noticed Bryan looked equally unhappy at the idea.
"Yeah! We can go to that!" Mark said happily.
"Um guys. I think I'll pass" Bryan said, I might just walk around town for awhile, do a little window shopping.
"Guys window shop?" Sarah said resting her chin on the back of her seat.
"The motor store" Bryan said with a wink. "What do you wanna do?" He asked turning to me.
"Much as I hate motors and everything related, I think I'll go with you" I said with a shrug.
"Not a Tears fan?" Bryan asked
I shook my head
"Me either" He said with a smile.
"You guys just have no taste!" Mark said shaking his head.
"Uh-huh whatever guys. Meet you here in a couple of hours." Bryan climbed out of the car and I followed.

"So where do you wanna go?" Bryan asked as we wandered around.
I glanced around me, then up a little "There!" I said pointing to the tall Sky Tower.
Bryan grinned "The Sky Tower it is" We ran over to the little clearing like area underneath and looked up.
"Long way up" I said to myself.
"Come on!" Bryan took my hand and dragged me inside the flash hotel that held the entrance. "Have you ever been up?" He asked me.
"No" I said shaking my head "Never got round to it.
"You're in for a treat" he said as we rode the esculater down underground. I glanced around nervously, realizing I was UNDERGROUND in a city build on dormant volcanoes. Best not to think about that I guess!
We brought our tickets, waited patiently (patient being a relative term here) in the line. And finally it was our turn to get into one of the lifts (Elevators).
Now I'm sure in my lifetime I would have known the wall of the lift was made entirely of glass. But somehow I'd forgotten. And Bryan had forgotten to remind me. So I typically stood RIGHT by that wall of glass and when we started climbing, I got the biggest fright of my life.
I screamed so loud I must have had the other people in the lift thinking we were falling or something. I jumped back, knocking into Bryan who was standing behind me.
"Chicken" He whispered into my ear.
We reached the top and Bryan wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me back a little so the other people could pass before we climbed out. I thought it was a kind of romantic thing to do, but figured he just did it so the people could pass by.
Eventually our turn came to climb out of the lift and the mouth formed a large 'O' as I looked out at the view. "Woah!" I whispered, we were above all the sky scrapers, looking WAY down at the city and it was such an amazing feeling.
"Best is yet to come" Bryan said making his way over to the glass windows. He stepped down and started walking around the circular rim off the building. He walked over to a spot where instead of normal floor there was a thick square of glass, he stepped on it and motioned for me to do so too. I just shook my head, eyes wide.
"Come on chicken" he said gently. He reached out and took my arm, pulling me onto the slab of glass with him. There was barely enough room for the two of us on it so he wrapped his arm around my shoulder (Something I'm finding to be a very Bryan gesture) and pulled me a little closer to him. I just closed my eyes and tried not to think of how far up I was, or how far down I could fall.
"You know they've tested this glass and it can hold like 50 people or something" Bryan said.
I shook my head, keeping my eyes tightly shut.
"Come on" He whispered "Open your eyes"
I sighed and slowly opened one eye, I glanced down for a second then closed it again, feel nautious. I waited a few seconds before forcing myself to open both eyes. I looked down again and finally managed to appreciate the rush of being up so high with what seemed like nothing below you.
"It's like flying" I whispered.
"I knew you'd like it" He said with a smile.
After that we wandered around the circular room, looking at the view from every direction, and making sure to stand on every slab of glass available!

"Mmmm" I said happily as I savored the taste of the Ice Cream I was eating "Delicious"
Bryan smiled across the table at me as he took a sip of his thickshake.
We were hanging out at the mall while we filled in another half hour or so before we had to meet the others.
"Can we go shopping next?" I asked putting on a puppy face.
"Oh please. Anything but!" Bryan pretended to be scared.
"Come on! We only have like" I checked my watched "20 minutes, you can live through 20 minutes can't you?"
"I guess" He said with a sigh
