How to Join and Get Started

So you want to join Faded Reality RPG? That's great, we'd love to have you! First though, read the rules here and follow these guidelines. Shortly, you'll be on your way to join the Faded Reality community brought to you by blurty.com!

1. Hop over to our community and take a look around and see if you'd like to have a character there. If you're character isn't taken, then create a journal.

2. Sign up at blurty.com with your character, create an email address (hotmail or yahoo are great places and are frequently used), and sign up for an AIM screen name. Make sure your email and screen name and journal name are pretty obvious towards the character you are portraying so that people know who it is at first glance. For example, if you where to be Nick Carter, your user name would be nick_carter or whatnot.

3. Add the disclaimer AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Go here to add the disclaimer to your userinfo and journal. Make sure to add the right disclaimer code to your journal since there is a different code for each journal style.

4. Do research on your character. Get to know them, learn about them and find out the basics. Things like their favourite music, movie, food, etc. are good things to know and you also learn more about who you're playing. If they are an actor, it would be best to know what movies they've been in. Little things like that could mean a lot in the long run.

5. Establish your journal, add others from the community, comment to them and add them to your AIM. We're friendly people and accept anybody with open arms. However, if you wish to be in Faded Reality and belong in an other community, chose either to be in ours or stay in the one that you are in. This also counts for the friends you add. If you add friends make sure they are also a part of Faded Reality.

6. The final step to join Faded Reality is to actively post in the community. This doesn't mean you have to put every post that you write in the community as well, just add one every now and then. It is not that hard to get in. Chester Bennington made this community and the moderator is Mike Shinoda. Mike is on the most, even up late into the evening, so if you have any more questions hunt him down and he will fill you in as best as possible.

7. Last but not least, have fun! Remember that is just a game and enjoy yourself.
