Faded Reality Disclaimer

If you've stumbled upon this page, you've more than likely arrived from the Faded Reality RP Community or through a character's journal.

The "celebrity" journals are not maintained by the celebrity themselves. They are maintained by fans and whatever is written about the celebrity is also fictional. The author is a participant of an online journal role playing game (or an RPG).

Under NO circumstances are these journals to be confused with reality. They're entertainment purposes ONLY. The content, ideas and events held in the journals are not true, and aren't intended to be taken seriously. The actual ideas, events, thoughts, lifestyle and image of the celebrity represented are nothing short of fiction. The journals are fake and must not be taken as a source of true information nor are they an accurate description of the celebrity represented in the journals.

We don't mean harm, deception, hostility and/or copyright infringement, and in no way are the journals meant to misinform other fans, role players or readers of the true celebrity.

Neither the journal maintainers or the Faded Reality moderators have personal permission or connection with the celebrity interpreted.

Moderators of Faded Reality take absolutely no responsibility for the content of the journals in the community. Be warned that there could be or is adult language and content in these journals and they are to be handled by a mature readership.

Rules:

1. A disclaimer is a must. Go here for disclaimer codes.

2. You may have up to three characters. We would like to leave roles open for as many people as we can, so please, respect this rule.

3. Keep OOC (out of character) and IC (in character) issues and problems as that. If so and so has a problem with so and so OOC, do not bring it IC. If my character has a disagreement with your character IC, it certainly does not mean I dislike you IC. Please keep those lines uncrossed.

4. If you must post OOC in your journal, please use the cut text. (<*lj-cut text="say what you want here"*> just remove the *'s) Same goes for entries that are going to be fairly long in length or if you have journal quiz's. Unless you are going to give up your character, use the cut text.

5. If you're going to say things OOC, please use the square brackets ( ex: [ this is OOC ] ).

6. It's not a good idea if you kill off your character. Obviously, it's a touchy subject to solicit in an RPG. It leaves that character dead in Faded Reality and nobody would be able adopt and play if in the future, so please don't do this. Death is irreversible. Try to stay away from touchy subjects: drugs, diseases such as Cancer, rape or sexual molestation etc. When role playing, use common sense. No racial or homophobic slurs will be accepted in ANY way.

7. MSN or AIM are frequently used ways of communicating with other characters. Both would be required but mainly AIM. People tend to patronize AIM more often than MSN.

8. Respect people's OOC identities. If you know the identity of a character's player, don't share it with someone else unless you've been given permission or the other person also knows who you're talking about or is friends with them as well. This is just a simple rule of respect between role players. Many may wish to remain anonymous for personal or role playing reasons.

9. If you're characters journal is dead (meaning no updates for a long period of time) in the time span of a month, you will be removed and somebody else will fill your space.
