Welcome to the Celebrate Diversity Day website. Here you can find information about the upcoming 'Celebrate Diversity' Day on 1st August 2004.
What has happened so far is that I have sent emails to all the people in my address book, telling them about 'Celebrate Diversity' Day. The idea is that as many people as possible wear multi-coloured badges on 1 August to symbolise their appreciation of cultural and religious diversity. To join in, wear a badge on 1 August! - and contribute to the email campaign by copying my original email and sending on to people on your list.
My name is Linda Western (maiden name) and I live in Cambridge, UK. I sent the first email at the end of June 2004. The website went live on 7 July 2004. Many thanks to all who have responded so far - I do hope you will join in!

Update Saturday 10 July: I have sent a second email to many people; apologies if this is annoying, I hope not to do it again. Instead I shall use this site, which will be updated every few days with your comments and suggestions. I'll try to answer all messages, and post your ideas. So do write to me at the address below - and keep checking the site!
Update Friday 16th July: I have added a guestbook and a page with some badge designs. Posters will be up soon! Please sign the guestbook, and feel free to email me at the address below if you have any comments or suggestions for other badge/poster designs.
Update Thursday 29 July: Time to make your badge! It would be good to get some photos of people wearing their badges for the website - email them to me at the address below. Have a happy day on Sunday!
