Orlando Bloom is the son of Henry Bloom, an anti-apartheid activist and author. Henry (affectionately called Harry by his son) was born in 1913 and died in 1981 when Orlando was just four. Orlando also has a sister called Samantha. She is studying at Guildhall where Orlando himself studied to become an actor.
Orlando is quite adventurous. Several years ago he fell out of a three-storey window and broke his back. Doctors told him he may never walk again. But he did, he walked out 12 days after his admission. Because of this, he has been living life to the full ever since, taking up bungee jumping, surfing, skydiving and snowboarding. Much of this was done in New Zealand while he was filming Lord Of The Rings.
At the moment he is filming new films. He is single, and he is looking.
