Ayu wasnt always a singer. In Grade 10 she quit school to become a swimsuit model, then she quit that and became an Actress.
One night Ayu was at a night club wherre her friend worked. She knew Matso 'Max' Matsuura and asked him to watch her sing. Ayu went up on the stage and sange, he realized that she had a talent, and asked her if she wanted a career in singing. She said know right way becasue she never heard of Avex Trax, she said 'it sounded fishy'. He kept asking her, then she finally agreed. She was sent to New York when she was 17, where she lived for a while, and took sining lessons. When she was sent back to Tokyo when, and she lives there now.. as the singer we all know!
