Her (Other) Bio

• Birthdate:January 12, 1958 (48). It was a Sunday.
• Father is Mohamed Amanpour, an Iranian airline executive
• Mother is Patricia. I got the names from some site. BTW, Patricia is British.
• Siblings:3 sisters, all younger than her. 2 of which were named Lizzy and Fiona
• She is married to James P. Rubin, former Assisstant Secretary of State, under Madeline Albright
• Yes, she has a child, a son named Darius (b. March 27, 2000). Son is currently 5.

Other Other Stuff

• She was: 3 months when she moved to Iran, 11 when she moved back to UK, 18 when she moved back to Iran, 21 when she moved to US, 31 when she moved to Germany, late 30's when she moved back to the UK, with her assignments in between
• She joined CNN in 1983, at the age of 25. She's been on CNN for 21 years.
• She is on both CNN and CBS (just for 60 Minutes Sunday. 5 stories a year is good enough)
• 2002 was her worst year, I believe. Arafat got angry, and she got banned from Iraq and Iran (for no reason)
